I stayed here for business for three nights and I was quite impressed. There is a nice atmosphere at this hotel, but not from the staff. The attitude of the staff was the only thing that let this hotel down, not all of them but a couple of them. The rooms are reasonable modern but the best thing is the... more

Let me preface this review by saying that I basically lived at the Intercontinental last year, for work. Work paid for my stay, which was two weeks out of each month, for a total of nine months. During that time, I stayed in a variety of rooms on every single floor. I am very well acquainted with the hotel, its... more

We stayed at the InterContinental Wellington for one night during a 2 week trip through New Zealand. My wife and I have stayed at many InterContinental hotels during our travels, and were staying using points during our stay in Wellington, so I can't speak to the value particularly well. The rooms were nice sized, no complaints there, but they were... more

We recently stayed at the InterContinental Wellington for one night June 1- June 2 at a rate of NZD 269 which included full breakfast for 2. Despite apparently being Wellington's top-rated hotel, it was not a flawless experience. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: 1. The InterContinental Wellington is located squarely in the center of town and you can... more

Hi I stayed in March 2009 visiting relatives. I chose the club lounge but I was so busy I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all the facilities such as complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening drinks and appetisers, free parking. However I did make full use of the unlimited soft drinks and internet and the club floor has... more

Our room was dated but a cursory attempt had been made to upgrade it- but this did not add to the attraction. I could cope with this but what I can't cope with is a dirty bathroom.I know the staff aren't given enough time to properly service a room but surely there has to be a spray bottle somewhere in... more

My partner and myself had booked to stay 4 nights. It was to be a Special time. We were upgraded to the Club level and boy was it great!! The Room was spotless and had excellent amenities. The location is so handy, and all attractions are walkable. The best thing about the experience though was the fabulous service. The staff... more

My stay at the Intercontinental was fantastic. All the staff were amazingly friednly , helpful and professional. If I had the omeny I'd stay there every time I go to Wellington. My only complaint was I wasn't there long enough. Love the free orange juice with wake up call. it's the little touches like that that make the Intercontinental special. more

There are quite a few things which are right with the Intercontinental in Wellington: excellent location, friendly and efficient staff, large and quiet room with a comfortable bed, numerous nice restaurants in the vicinity and for those who, like me have selected a room with harbor view at the club level, a magnificent view of the bay of Wellington. However... more

We recently stayed at the IC twice - on our way in and out of Wellington and had consistently good experiences. When we first checked in, the woman at the desk suggested that we upgrade to the Club Floor for an extra NZ$100/night since it covered parking (NZ$30/day), breakfast, and provided two computers and free internet service. We decided to... more
