Good location, close to amenities as well as botanical gardens. Andy and Wendy the owners are caring and genuine people. Wellington is an expensive city and the costs they charge are well priced. Wi-fi is fast enough to organise onward travel and banking etc, but if you need a faster connection, you can use their free desktop computer. Breakfast may... More

I booked my stay in this hostel because of the free WiFi and breakfest. Well, the wifi sometimes works really bad and the breakfest is bread, toasts, table spread, jam and cereals. OK, at leats they offer for free. Good points: *well located, you can go around the city easily, it's just some blocks from Cuba Street and the CBD.... More

If you want to deprive yourself of sleep and basic human requisites this is the place to go! The accommodation was unruly and loud until 1.00am in the morning which made sleeping a charm. My bed sheets had stains which looked like blood (I have photographic evidence) and the plumbing delivered floaties while having a shower. Our twin room was... More

This hostel is smaller than any other in Wellington and has a general home free, which is nice. I had no issues with the kitchen and the lounge area as it well maintained and mostly clean. The rooms themselves are comfy but a bit cosy. Being a male I booked the wrong dates and we arrived a day early however... More

Overall we didn't like it here. The young guy who worked here was lazy, unhelpful and generally absent. The place is very 'backpacker-y', loud at night and lots of people who don't know how to clean up after themselves. The kitchen was grubby and quite unpleasant to use, lots of dirty plates and not very good cooking equipment. We didn't... More

I was a bit unfortunate because I had to stay under the washing room and people didnt stick to the washing hours, so it was difficult to fall asleep at night due to the operating dryer and I woke up with the same noise cause the hostel is doing their washing in the morning hours. In general, the staff is... More

I only stayed for a few nights here but the real difference that set this hostel apart was the friendly staff, free wifi and homely feel. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice addition. Bathrooms were adequate and clean, kitchen was bustling with people. There is a lounge but the dining room table is a bit big for... More

We stayed here 1 night on our way through Wellington. The room itself was clean and nice, although on the smaller side. The kitchen was quite messy and the bathrooms as well (wet towels lying on the floor, etc).

Backpacker well situated, clean and appointed. Big double room with a sink and several furniture for our styfs. However kitchen and dining room too little for so many people. Wifi is free but really too slow : for us is like it was inexistent (access to our blog impossible so nor to send photos). It’s not correct to say “free... More

Thanks for staying with us and thanks for your review. I am certain you will not find a better double room in Wellington for the price. In regards to dishes we are installing a camera in the kitchen to address this issue. It is unfortunate we can not lock off the kitchen after 10pm. The internet will be faster as... More
