As at the end of October 2008: This property is a blight on the Quest brand-name. Very neglected, and unfortunately reeks of stale curry in the hallways and lifts. Curtains faded and hems coming undone, paint lifting, iron hard-wired into the back of the under-sink cupboard necessitating lying on the floor to turn iron on. Cleaning is not thorough. Well... more

Location of hotel was so-so due to the fact that it was to far away from the entertainment, transport or business areas. The foyer was modern and up to date looking, but all of the rooms I saw (we had 14 rooms for the group) looked dated and tired. Nearly everyone of our party mentioned that they're accomodations smelt musky... more

Room was grubby, e.g floor wasn't hoovered properly and the decor in need of some updating / maintenance - peeling paint evident in some areas. Our room was on an external corner and the road noise was terrible - some double glazing would be a good thing to bring with you as there's none at the Quest. Other than that... more

Stayed at Quest on Willis for 2 nights in August, and after 2 weeks driving round the South Island, the biggest challenge on arriving in Wellington on the ferry was finding the place! The map from the iSite in Kaikoura was useless and Wellington drivers are not terribly accommodating to Brits who don't know where they are going! Once we... more

Room was a decent size with some good amenities such as kitchenette, sky tv, chest of drawers and a work desk. Unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and felt like a block of concrete - gave us both backache for a couple of days. The room was clean enough but was not vacuumed daily so deteriorated over our week stay.... more

The room was clean but certainly dated. The location was unremarkable as it was located at the end of Willis Street which is more isolated. more

The positives: High ceilings, kitchenette with microwave oven, convienent to Cuba Street shopping and restaurants. Includes use of a great gyms called Les Mills. Mini-mart next door. Unit was clean. What we didn't quite like was the neighborhood, we thought it lacked character. We had a view of the highway exit ramp. The room and bathroom were small. more
