Great location, small room, small bathroom, but had it all, except air conditioning. Window opened. Bed comfortable, kind of hard, with nice bedding. Had trouble accessing the free wifi but staff helped immediately, then it worked great! Parking very limited and that was difficult, we parked and left the car. Only a 10 min. walk to Te Papa, and groceries,... More

Parking was tricky, it is a small, tight car park and was very busy. We were lucky someone was pulling out as we arrived as throughout the evening people turned up and had to leave the cars parked on the steep entrance way. The hotel is dated and the room was small with a pretty uncomfortable bed. The location is,... More

My friend and I stayed in a motel unit for 3 nights. The motel was in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to so many things to see in Wellington. Plenty of wee eateries close by too. Motel was clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen was pretty standard for a motel. A great stay. Would come back.

This is a really central motel - although the access is quite steep and has a lot of steps if you are upstairs. The room we had was a reasonable size, but we were really disappointed with very average cleanliness and tired amenities. We asked for more dishwashing liquid and a replacement dishbrush (the one in the room was really... More

Our room was tiny but adequate for an overnight stay. Certainly not luxury accommodation but that's not what we wanted - we wanted a simple convenient place to stay and this fits the bill perfectly. Easy walking distance to town. Staff were extremely helpful and even got us a cheap taxi deal to the airport. I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel is centrally located. It is walking distance from the CBD, Te Papa, the waterfront, and Wellington's nightclubs. Even though located on a busy road you don't hear traffic or the nightclubs. We stayed in one of the villas out back and were impressed. The villa reflects the Colonial Style of early New Zealand building, which automatically disconnects you... More

Motel room upstairs was clean and tidy, could do with some deco and art to break in the walls, very bland. The parking is shocking and only few car parks and for the price you charge people you should lease a car park down the road for people to park, as when you go out and come back, theres no... More

Fancied a last minute New Year’s Eve partying in Wellington but there are no night buses back to Eastbourne, so decided to stay the night in Welly. Ringing round we found out there was no room at the inn until we stumbled upon Halswell Lodge who had just had a cancellation. Very conveniently located on Kent Terrace at the bottom... More

My husband and I booked this place 3 months in advance . 2 days before they rang to say that our room was no longer available. We had flights already booked so was completely stressing out as tried to book another hotel but everywhere in wellington was booked on those dates. After 3 hours of stress I decided it was... More

Studio room was very noisy and too much light in room was not conducive to a full night's sleep. Parking is first in best served. Best feature is easy walking distance to many city attractions. Room in old section had small window & alley view.
