Good hotel with a great view over Auckland Harbour. We stayed in a club room and the evening drinks and snacks were fabulous. Leave a bit of time for breakfast as if they are busy it can take some time. Very helpful staff and quick to fix any problems you may have. Right around the corner from Cuba St when... More

We had a lovely suite on the 6th floor with a view of the harbor. The staff was friendly, the service excellent, and the rooms very clean. We had no problem with the Wi-Fi. The hotel is very well located, only 2 blocks from the tourist office, shops and Te Papa museum. The club on the top floor had an... More

Could not fault this hotel at all. Great service, friendly staff, warm, clean and comfortable rooms with big beds, free laundry facilities for guests and free internet in the lobby. Good location for all facilities. Great choice of breakfast.

A good hotel, friendly staff, but atrocious WiFi. The WiFi works in the foyer, but not in the rooms. It continuously drops out, and when it connects, the bandwidth is near zero. If you think you can do any business that requires use of the Internet .... think again.

Centrally located hotel. Rooms are spacious, well appointed and very clean. Good breakfast. Pity about the front desk staff. When we arrived by taxi - 3 females, 2 of whom are elderly - the concierge watched as we struggled into the hotel with our cases. After checking in, no offer to take them upstairs for us. My room on the... More

Amora is a great hotel for business travellers and also families! I stayed over two nights, rooms are clean, modern, and very spacious. Service is fantastic. The breakfast is great. They charge for wifi, but allow free half an hour of Wi-fi access free.

Nice modern hotel, views towards the harbour. Only stayed a couple of nights but thought charging $26 for wifi is a bit steep. Breakfast was the only meal I had and was very good. Staff very helpful, reception staff were happy to print off my boarding pass for me.

This hotel is the old Duxton, now renamed Amora.and has been a Wellington landmark for many years and one that I have enjoyed in the past. I was very dismayed to see that the fabulous harbour view, is being partially obsured by the erection of a muti storied business building. The staff were very accomadating and we had a very nice... The room I had was very nice, bed very comfortable and spacious. Service was excellent both at reception, restaurant and room service. The only downside if you could call it that was the bathroom. I don't know if it has been refurbished (new sealant round tiles) or just repaired but whoever did it never noticed the broken tiles where the... More
