This was my least favorite hostel that we stayed in on our trip and it took me a while to pinpoint what was wrong. I mean, they won a best hostel award recently, staff are friendly, clean the place often, room was clean...but I just disliked my stay here. The problem is that it seems to big for it's own... More

I stayed three nights in the TrekGlobal. Facilities are clean and good. relatively clean showers+toilets. centrally located. What really bothered me were the beds. Very thin mattresses and backpain everytime I woke up, because it felt like you are laying on the steelbars. Furthermore there is only a small window in the room (stayed in 6bed dorm) which doesn't make... More

We just needed a place for one night after a function in Wellington and it was perfect. We had a twin share room with ensuite so was nice and private. The room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Location was great!! Only down side was that the room lit up through the frosted glass in the door... More

This is definitely a business.. it feels clinical and there is unfortunately no warmth in this hostel. That said, it's clean, comfortable and functional. Can be a little tricky to find your room but as it is so big, all the corridors are colour coded. This place is ideal as a 1 nighter as it's in easy reach of the... More

This was our second hostel stay on a six week tour. The beds were fine. The kitchen setting was my favorite of all on our trip. Very central, close to our bedrooms. The nightlife was very loud and went all night. There were people everywhere, many drunk.

This place is very central about 15-20 min walk from the bus drop off. The accommodation offers free tea and coffee and fridges to store food. Kitchen and lounge is spacious. The bedroom was not so spacious for the room of 6 I stayed at- I also stayed with long term people (4 months or more) so they had accumulated... More

The location was good. Security came round at 11pm to tell everyone to be quiet which was also good. Everything else was not.. The rooms were small and really hot with a broken ladder to the top bunk bed. There was only one really small window which felt like it wasn't doing anything. It said linen and vacuuming was done... Stayed here for few nights and found nothing to complain or to be unhappy about, rather the opposite. The place is clean and looked after. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free tea and coffee, loads of facilities to use. Good work guys.
