Short walk to main shopping strip in Wellington and within walking distance of main waterfront attractions.. Spent two nights here before starting South Island tour. Hotel in need of some refreshment although very comfortable and has all amenities. Free wifi in room not available.

Spent one night here after taking the ferry from the south island to Wellington. Easy walking distance to the main shopping district and waterfront. Staff were helpful and room was very comfortable. My only complaint was using the elevator by using the room key. The card needed to be reactivated during our one-night stay because the elevator wouldn't read it... More

Stayed here with my brother while attending a concert at the events centre on Queens Wharf. Fantastic location with direct access to Lambton Key via a lift (until 10pm). Car parking is a nightmare, made worse by the road works on the terrace, but that is no fault of the hotel. The room was everything I have come to expect... More

Hotel is easily to locate as is centrally loacated. Only parking is a big problem, thus have to go for the valet parking rather than to find the parking space on your own. Wifi service is good. Overall, the hotel and room looks a bit 'tired' and is the time to refurbish in order to maintain the brand of Accor... More

Room was clean and modern and good location. Check in could have been better, we were given no information about the hotel ie facilities,if I had not read the reviews on here we would not have known about the lift down to the main shopping street level. Overall an ok stay.

This is a City hotel with all the services one expects in such an establishment but is not that exciting. The room was comfortable and clean and our room faced the street. The staff were helpful and the lift to the shopping street and the train station to the cable car was a highlight. Alright for one night.

The Novotel in Wellington appears to be a converted office building. The rooms are fine and pretty much the same as every other Novotel I've stayed in. The location is brilliant for anyone with things to do in the centre of Wellington. While it is on the Terrace (good for business), it also has an elevator that drops straight down... More

Handy location and clean, bright, and nicely decorated rooms. Friendly and happy staff, can't ask for anything more would definately stay again. Room service meals a bit pricey for what they were but plenty of eateries close by.

Stopped here for 1 night. 10-15 minute walk to Te Papa museum. 10-15 minute walk to the government buildings. The hotel has a lift that takes you down to Lambton Quay....saves a long walk.....you can access the cable car to the botanic gardens just a 1 minute walk from the lift on Lambton Quay. The breakfast was excellent! The room... More
