Firstly, the staff were wonderful. Organised my airport shuttle, posted my postcards for me, arranged an early check in for me, really friendly. Breakfast was delicious with many options that should please all diets. I stayed on two separate occasions on the same trip, with a 2 day break in between where I left Wellington. The hotel was able to... More

Helpful staff. Hotel is a little out of the way & up a steep hill. Easy to head to town but the hike up back to the hotel takes some effort. Good if you are driving, has secure car park within hotel & not in another off-site car park. Room is quite spacious but a little run down.

The service was friendly and warm at check in with the attendant letting us check in early which was amazing, thank you for that. However, everything else was just dreadful. The room on first impression was OK. The beds and sheets etc looked clean and well made which was good. However, the windows are filthy, the fixtures on the window... More

Although the public spaces are reasonable, our bedroom was really shabby. Decor, curtains, bathroom fittings all need to be upgraded. Bathroom towels were really thin and barely bigger than the bath mat. Sound insulation needs to be improved, would prefer not to hear people in adjacent room. On the positive, the location was just right for where we needed to... More

Clean, but older style Hotel - Staff friendly and helpful. Good location, handy to shopping, restaurants and bars. Onsite Restaurant food was ok - we tried breakfast and dinner, wine was expensive though.
