The rooms were well kept and the front desk service was excellent. Otherwise the place looks run down. The pool/gym area is not well kept and doesn't offer towels. That said, location is perfect and for the price, is does the job!

We stayed for 8 days and its great for family two adults and two kids but it would be better if the hotel provide two single bed for the kids rather than one queen bed for them to share. Staff are very helpful and nice. Also our bathroom didn't get clean every day. Location is good for us as we... More

My partner booked into the Mercure Wellington thinking he was booking into the modern hotel that he'd stayed in previously. However, it turns out, the nice modern Mercure he'd where he stayed before has been sold and rebranded and the remaining Mercure is an aging 70s pit with strange smells and poor service. A few of the disappointments at the... More

Inexperienced staff, small rooms desperately in need of refurbishment and the hide of the hotel to charge $20 per day for parking in an off-street but uncovered and not secure parking lot at the back of the hotel....especially when on weekends street parking is free! From check in I should have known it was not going to be a hotel... More

We have stayed 3 times at the Mercure,.Staff are very friendly and helpful.. We initially had our windows open for fresh air but a party nearby drove us to shut them and put the air con on.Although we turned it down to 10, in desperation to get cool, air,it was obviously preset at probably 20.Stale air and it was dreadful. The... More

We stayed for xmas and what a lovely place. Although it is dated, we were very comfortable here. We spoke with five different staff members and each gave excellent service. The food was good and prompt. The gym, pool and sauna were good amd clean. Highly recommend for the price.
