I also stayed here for the rugby weekend and had booked an online special which included late check out and free valet parking. This certainly made it an excellent deal. We had a room with 2 double beds - I really wonder how many people like this room configuration as 2 adults and one child would be OK with a... More

We stayed in this hotel for three days and found the location to be ideal for accessing the central city area. From arrival to departure we found nothing to complain about and enjoyed the spacious room size. Have stayed here before and would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for the rugby weekend, the staff at reception and especially concierge were very friendly and helpful. The room had a super king bed a little hard but ok, room was plenty big enough and most of all clean. The bathroom a little tired but once again clean. Super easy access to Lampton key, straight down... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Close to all the city attractions, loved that I could walk anywhere I wanted to. Close to water (walking), shopping and food outlets. Was easy to travel to for a foreign traveller. We got off the bus from the airport, and there we were! Didn't eat at the restaurant, the price was a bit high for... More

Excellent location, good deals and quality. We especially like Whitby's restaurant for breakfast - very generous and lots of choice. I suggest you always take the breakfast option as part of your accommodation.

I stayed at the Hotel for four days in early September 2014. The hotel common areas are all well maintained and the staff friendly. I have stayed at this hotel many times and the location is always a prime motivating factor. I was in room 2401, which is located on the corner of the building with 90 degree views, including... We stayed at James Cook Hotel for two nights. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very clean and tidy. The hotel is centrally located which meant that we could walk most places. We couldn't fault them. We had a fantastic time!

Our flights were delayed and the JC was reccommended by Air NZ. The hotel is nothing special. We ate at the restaurant (Whitbys) for both dinner and breakfast. I was looking forward to the buffet as it has the reputation as being one of the best in Wellington. Unfortunately we found it to be distinctly average for the price. I... More

Hello EssDelGirl Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding your recent stay with us. We enjoyed our stay in wellington very much and Im sure it was mostly to do with staying at James Cook Hotel. Quiet, relaxing clean and comfortable, with everything at your finger tips from being right in the hub of down town Wellington to a High quality Restaurant. I loved listening the pianist playing in the lobby while enjoying a... More
