3 years ago RWC2011. And we will never forget the good times we had. We had the best advice on where to go and what to do. Hosts are always assisting where they can. Best breakfast and company you could ask for. Regards Coenraad & Rian. SA.

This is my third stay with Marilyn, David and Joe and as ever is brilliant. They welcome you into their home and remember who you are and your family etc. just like visiting friends. The house is spotless and as with all the other reviews Joe makes a fantastic breakfast. I stay here as it is convenient for me to... More

My hubby Ross & I stayed here at Cherswud B&B in Johnsonville for one & a half weeks. It was a delight in many ways. The owners, David & Marilyn bent over backwards to make sure our stay was everything it should be; relaxing, clean, super friendly, helpful & privacy when needed. The icing on the cake was the delightful... More

We spent 2 nights in Cherswud, David and Marilyn were kind enough to change our booking at the last minute due to problems with the ferry to Nelson. We enjoyed our stay here and breakfasts provided by Joe were excellent and included cereals, fruit and cooked varieties if you wanted to go the whole hog. The accommodation was very spacious... More

Joe is the rock star here and is your chef and concierge at this fantastic alternative to staying in a sterile downtown hotel. We chose Cherswud because of its location to a family wedding. Perfect choice! We rang to say we would like an early check in to get changed before the wedding ceremony. Not a problem. Joe bakes his... More

Had a wonderful time staying at Cherswud for two nights. David and Marilyn went out of their way to make us feel at home! Such a lovely home and the food is wonderful as well! They have a flatmate who helps with the B and B, he's a lovely man who is a gourmet cook! What a great deal for... More

We were lucky enough to find Cherswud for our one night in Wellington and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Marilyn, David and Joe. We were made to feel like family and only wish we'd arranged to have them prepare dinner for us the night we were there. It's a bit far from town for an easy drive or walk to... More

This B & B was a great find. Its not for from the city and has good bus and train services so it is easy to get around the city and see all the sites. David and Marilyn are great hosts and looked after all our needs very well. Joe was the beakfast king with many choices to set us... More

David and Marilyn could not be more gracious and inviting. Their home is great with an interesting history. We were so engaged in conversation our first night that Marilyn, to keep it going, whipped up a few dishes for dinner - and never charged us; we were, literally, their guests. Another night, we were invited to join them and another... More

Looking for somewhere to stay in Wellington? Then you will not go wrong if you choose Cherswud. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable and clean with lots of attention to every detail, plus a great bathroom! Our meal was delicious and the wine flowed. The highlight - the people.
