Acorns Seatoun We had three nights in Wellington to unwind after a whirlwind visit to family and booked at the Acorns after reading the great reviews. It certainly lives up to its reputation for cleanliness and comfort. The extra touches were much appreciated; spoiled for choice with breakfast, not to mention fabulous home-made baking. The heated tiles in the bathroom... More

I spent 3 weeks last month at Acorns B and B while visiting my son and his family who live locally. It was a prefect base, spotlessly clean, comfortable (really comfortable bed with lovely linen), light and spacious, with a well-equipped small kitchen area, a separate laundry room and a good en-suite bathroom. There is free wifi and lots of... More

I'm from Wellington and wanted a few days away from home to simply unwind. I spent 4 nights in the Pohutukawa Suite, relaxing in these lovely, clean and modern surroundings. I love lots of natural light in living areas, so this room suited me well with two sets of French doors allowing so much of that in - easy to... More

As per the other reviewers, I appreciated the quality of the accommodation and the extra touches like home made afghans and muesli, gourmet fruit juice and chocolates! Yum! I stayed in the room with the courtyard, and it was private and quiet. Unfortunately I didn't have my own transport, and I did find the accommodation a little isolated - 5... More

Acorns is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in, and we've stayed in a few around the world. Our room was very spacious, stylish, comfortable and lacking in no amenities. Everything about Acorns shows a very high concern for customers' comfort and convenience: our room was spotlessly clean, was cleaned and refreshed every day, and the excellent Acorns... More

There is no way to adequately convey what a magnificent hospitality experience this is. There are so many extraordinary little touches that are very special. The whole experience was a delight. The hosts have managed go above and beyond just making sure everything is exactly the way a wonderful B&B should be. They have made it a unique experience.

Let's give it five stars but add a few caveats. Acorns is in a very quiet coastal suburb, which is either a plus or minus depending on the guest's preference. The room with the ocean view does indeed have a pleasant view, set back several blocks from the often windy beach. The room fittings are fine, so long as you... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of our holiday in NZ it was just amazing (4th-9th April) we only met Tim but could not fault a thing, fresh fruit and bread every day and homemade cookies. The view from the little patio was lovely also it has it own front door, I felt like I could just have... More

From the moment we arrived well after midnight until the moment we left - in the middle of a deluge and helped with our luggage to our car by Tim - we felt taken care of and part of the family. The proximity to the airport was a huge feature as was the ease of public transport into the downtown... More

I am not always a fan of B&Bs when travelling on business as I usually just want to escape into my hotel room but this B&B is very professional and my room was separate from the house so it was totally private. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything you could possibly wish for. The continental breakfast was superb... More
