Never been to Wellington before so not sure of its geography. Our visit turned out to be Wellington Sevens week so we couldn`t get any rooms downtown but eventually found this B & B a short ferry ride across the bay in Eastbourne. We weren`t sure what to expect but staying at Walnut Tree cottage turned out to be wonderful.... More

Welcoming, warm, fuzzy. Spent one of the best breaks here ever. Hosts were fantastic and breakfasts so relaxing. Food amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone. Jasmine and Alan were so friendly, it just pulled everything together. Only three words to say, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!

Wonderful hosts, stunning views of the harbor, comfortable rooms, extravagantly good breakfasts. And did we mention wonderful hosts? (My review says excellent fitness center, but actually there was no fitness center--but there is a wonderful 2 hour gorgeous hike, which by my lights counts as a fitness center.) Although we traveled to see my gorgeous niece get married to a... More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. I was afraid that the less than perfect weather had ruined your stay somewhat! Thanks for your kind comments and I hope you had a good trip home. Of course the weather after you left was perfect -I guess that's the luck of the Irish or something like that! More

My wife and I just spent two lovely nights at the Walnut Tree B&B. The beautiful and private accommodations, delicious breakfasts and great location made this B&B the perfect stopover in Wellington. Jasmine was the perfect hostess and made us feel at home. There is a bus right across the street that takes you to downtown Wellington. There is also... More

A wonderful, cute, stylish and heartwarming B&B. We had a wonderful two night stay. Jasmine welcomed us gracefully with a tour of the beautiful home. Good smells, great decor, wonderful views and facilities. We made great use of the spa and extensive lounge for entertaining. The Hosts were warm and inviting, but allowed us the space we needed. And the... More

We arrived to an amazing tapas platter well worth the money, filled with delicious goodies sourced from across nz. Jasmin is an amazing hostess with a real gift for hospitality. My wife and I felt so spoilt, it was unlike anywhere we have ever stayed! It was far more beautiful here than I had expected, the views and sunsets over... More

My wife and I just enjoyed a fantastic night away at The Walnut Tree. We are locals who live across the harbour in Wellington, but it still felt like we'd left the city. The standard of the accommodation is excellent! Really liked all the personal touches in our bedroom, with a very comfy bed and robes :). There is a... More

The Walnut Tree is an amazing place to stay. I had booked through an obscure website, in a hurry, a couple of months before I stayed. I looked at their web site 2 nights before leaving Auckland to find I would have 3 bedrooms & a huge living room exclusively to myself! I was in Eastbourne for a 3 day... More

A gorgeous house, beautifully decorated, with the lovely village of Eastbourne just a 5-minute walk away, as are the walking tracks to Butterfly Creek. We all loved the tranquillity, though the teenagers were also pleased to discover the PlayStation! Simply the nicest place we have ever stayed in New Zealand, and a highlight of this trip through the country. Thank... More
