Good location for a big group. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had a one bedroom unit which had a separate lounge and kitchen so plenty of room. Bathroom could do with a cabinet for putting toilet bags away. Swimming pool looked inviting. Very handy to lake walkway. The A/C noise at night was a bit annoying.

Fantastic location, overlooks Lake Taupo. Stayed in a 1 bedroom unit, very clean and comfortable. The view from our unit was just great, it looked like a tropical oasis. Swimming pool was lovely and warm and the private spa was just gorgeous. The units to the rear of the property has lake views.

Our family of five stayed in a two bedroom lakeside unit. The units are a little dated but adequate, and good value for money. The large windows facing out to the lake provide a stunning view, but unfortunately they are not double glazed which made the rooms chilly overnight. Also the smoke detector was 'bipping' every now and then which suggests... More

There have been mixed reviews about this motel and I do not know why. I found the Oasis was great. Value for money, very clean, close to the lake and you can use all the facilities as well in the Millennium hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom unit, they are compact and have everything you would want in it,... More

Oasis was a lovely place to stay in Taupo. We used it as a base for skiing at Whakapapa. The 2 brm suite was smallish but adequate for our family of 5. It had comfortable beds, a clean bathroom and heat pump, which kept the place lovely and warm. The kids loved the pool which was beautifully warm and much... More

The beauty about Oasis was that it's owned by the arguably Taupos most well renowned Millennium Hotel Manuels which it located next door and you get to use all there facilities..It's truly one of my favourite views on the planet along the waterfront by the hotel and I've been around a fair bit, The room was very cold in Winter,... I recently stayed in a studio room which was so small you could just walk between the bed and the fridge unit! In a tiny room (with a double bed mind) the noise of the heat pump was so loud I had to turn it off despite temperatures around 2 degrees Celsius that night, then the noise of the fridge... More

We have been traveling the North Island and this would be the 4th Motel we have stayed at over the past 2 weeks. The greeting was warm and welcoming however nothing further till our money was being taken. We spent a night here attending a function in Taupo to avoid having to drive home late. Tidy, clean unit with great shower. Small but just what we needed. Warm compared to the very frosty overnight and next morning. Pity didn't bring togs as could see the lovely hot steamy pool outside our window. Good price at short notice being... More

At min of $200 per night to stay here we found this very overpriced, the only good thing about this property is it has a pretty cool pool. Rooms are very dates and we found spider webs in the main bedroom and lounge, also when I got out a spare blanket it came out in a cloud of dust. First... More
