I travel a lot for work, around 2 days per week, and often I stay at Quest. A good standard, good value, LCD TVs (generally). After staying in Quest Rotorua I moved today to Taupo. Let me stay that Quest Rotorua is fantastic – brand new and very stylish. I searched Wotif, and despite being more expensive than Rotorua I... more

Stayed here for 1 night recently, was in the studio rooms in the block next to the main block, nothing inspiring about it, advertised as a king sized bed but was really 2 single beds put together, bathroom reminded me of a hospital and the heater provided was inadequate for the 0-10degree celcius temperatures. We could also hear the people... more

We had a "superior" 3-bedroom apartment for 2 nights in April. We found the place to be clean and mostly comfortable. The furnishings were basic and very IKEA-like. Very strangely, it had only 1&1/2 baths and the 1/2 bath did not have mirror which made it useless for activities such as shaving. 4 adults and 4 children having to use... more

We stayed at the Quest Taupo for two nights during their peak Summer period. We had two rooms during our stay, a standard studio room at $150NZD/night and a standard two-bdrm at $220NZD/night. This was pretty much the standard rate for any accomodation while we were there. The apartments are run by the serviced apartments chain Quest. We hadn't stayed... more

We are a very discerning (read fussy) family. We have 4 children 2yrs up to 13yrs (One with special needs) and travel rarely. This is because 3bdrm accommodation is either too expensive or unavailable. When we do travel it takes a lot of planning and we expect to be treated well, with respect and valued as customers of the establishment... more

A good location. There is with a pub with good pub food and a couple of good restaurants within a few minutes walk, and the centre of Taupo is about 15 minutes walk – quieter than being in the centre. We got upgraded to a DeLuxe Bedroom Apartment which was ideal for a couple with two children who would be... more

Perhaps the best equipped and most modern motel which we stayed at in New Zealand. It is a little out of town but only a hundred yards or so from the lake. We would definitely stay there again. more

Although there was nothing particularly wrong with this motel, there were no real distinguishing features. The furniture was modern but a bit soul-less. The room was a little cramped. The lake was close by but the rooms all overlooked a courtyard car park. The laundry was not free. more

We used wotif.com to book this room along with all our rooms while in NZ. Bernie & the staff at Quest Taupo were very friendly and helpful. We loved having a kitchenette ( fully stocked with pots, pans, utencils) this saved money having to eat out every night. Beds were very comfortable, and they are heated for cold winter nights.... more

Very spacious and luxurious self-contained accomodation - a small flat on two floors (three if you count the garage). It got a little cool in the evenings but the heating coped well. Good kitchen, own dishwasher and washing machine / dryer! Paid a few dollars for 24 hours of broadband internet access but found to my delight that this meant... more
