A nice, larger boutique hotel directly at the shore of Lake Taupo. We enjoyed our stay in a standard room. While the room was rather small, the service was perfect. Definitelty one of the better locations to stay at in Taupo! more

We recently stayed 2 nights at The Cove in one of their suites, overlooking the lake, albeit a sideview. Whilst the location to Taupo is pretty good The Cove was a disappointment. They successfully manage to portray a very contemporary boutique feel to the hotel by clever ambiguous photography on their website. This hotel doesn't appear to have been up-dated... more

Me and my husband spent 3 nights at the cove as part of our honeymoon. The room was nice and big with a separate seating area and balcony with a hot tub. The decoration let the room down and it lacked a 'special feel'. more

This hotel is a nice boutique hotel on the shores of Lake Taupo in a great setting with wonderful views of the lake and snow capped mountains on the horizon.
