I stayed here for several times, a quiet little yha with a small back yard. Staffs are friendly and helpful, things a kept in good condition. Location was quite good also, not so far from the town centre that you can walk to supermarket and some restaurants. You can also take a walk to the lake side. recommended.

I didn't like this hostel. It's not worth the money. The staff was nice and nice view from the balcony. I booked a single room, but I didn't like it, very small, not very clean, uncomfortable bed, no decoration in room, like a bunker. I couldn't open the curtains, because people are walking by. Bathroom not very clean, men and... More

I stayed here for two nights, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The setup of the hostel is good, I felt like I was in a house and I loved it. The hostel is about 10 mins walk from town and the i-site visitor center. The rooms, bathroom and kitchen is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend if... More

Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member (Rangi), who got us checked in swiftly. When I walked into our room and saw the toilet had overflown, she sprung into action and cleaned up the area right away. Cleanliness definitely seemed like a priority here: I next saw her tidying up the kitchen, and the common bathroom... More

About 10 minutes walk from the i-site. Quiet area, generally quite hostel with a lot of families staying. Great, clean kitchen. Nice outside sitting area. Spacious rooms as well with a lot of moving (non-long-stay-WHVs) travellers so always clean and tidy.

Somewhat a rudimentary YHA. Rooms small but well maintained. Everything immaculately clean and maintained throughout kitchen, common room, laundry. The bathrooms are a stand-out - these are new, well provisioned and exceptional. It is obvious the staff take clear pride is maintaining the YHA to a very, very high standard. And remember, 1 week free Telecom YHA wifi . .... More

Stayed in July 2014 during winter with some friends. Booked two rooms, the room I was in was for two person with an ensuite bathroom. The room was very small,a bit hard to move around, but it was bearable since we only stayed there for 2 nights. Very clean room and bathroom though. Plus, they also provided complimentary coffees and... More

This hostel reminded me of all the wonderful experiences I had at summer camp as a kid. Beautiful location, facilities are clean and well-kept. Just not heated very well, and you also have to go outside to go between rooms, hence feeling like I was at camp. The four-person room was very tiny, but the lounge was big enough and... More

Not one of the better YHAs. Its small and has a very strange cabin style layout. I stayed for 2 nights. was very quiet and felt sad. saying that the facilities were pretty standard to all other yhas and were clean.

The rooms have very thin walls and no carpet which makes room very cold and Noisy. There is a heater which has a timer for 30 mins. It was very cold and stormy night and was very tired to get up every thirty minutes and turn on the heater. Went to Urban retreat hostel on third night because it gets... More
