The Huka lodge was a top notch place to take the family. However, you want to only take teenagers and not toddlers. This Resort is for mature and well mannered families only. The fly fishing, food, rooms, and customers service was incredible. It was interesting meeting other guests during cocktail hour before your dinner. The experience is top 3 for... More

1. Huka's location, rooms, food and grounds are as good as it gets, 5 star. 2. Service needs a lot of work. For the price you are paying it needs to be perfect and it was far from it. Food service for dinner was slow and little things, like having fishing poles available for small children would have been nice.... More

Dear CDUB212121, Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay at Huka Lodge, I was very disappointed to hear that you were not entirely satisfied with some aspects of your stay. That's what comes to mind when I think of Huka Lodge! I visited several times as I got hooked since 1st time in mid 2000's while I worked in Australia because of the best warm welcome ever. I now live in Europe & I went back early 2014 for another dose of holiday in a difference. I was received by... More

My friend and I were totally delighted upon our arrival at this very special lodge. We were greeted warmly by Kerry Molloy, the General Manager. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Waikato River, within waling distance of Huka Falls. Our junior lodge suite was magnificent. Our first visitors were a pair of ducks who came onto our... We have stayed at Huka Lodge earlier. We were amazed by the view, the accomodation and the services. After two years, we come again for the second time. We were greeted like a 'loyal customer'. It's really was a wonderful stay. We loved the rooms, the meal, the services and the friendliness of all the staffs and General Manager himself.... More

Much has been written about this veritable oasis of luxury and service - it is all true. Never ever on our worldwide trips have we experienced the level of care and comfort and service that Huka offers. Yes, in the world of luxury hotels one can become blasé about the decor, the threadcount of the bed linen and the fluffiness... More

My wife and I had a two-night stay at Huka Lodge in early December 2014 as part of our Golden Wedding anniversary celebrations. This was our second visit having been guests about 11 years ago. The Lodge had been made aware of the special occasion we were celebrating. As a result, they went that extra yard to ensure it was... More

We spent two nights at Huka Lodge in November with five other couple, and two nights was just not enough for this beautiful place. The abiding memory will be of the setting. The rooms are set along the Huka river, within earshot of the Huka Falls. In front of every room lies an enormous and perfect lawn going down to as... More

This was my fourth visit to this unique property which makes an ideal stop in the center of the north island. Finally after erring with "Small (not so) Luxury Hotels of the World" and "Leading Hotels of the World" this unique place is back where it belongs: "Relais & Châteaux". Also the new excellent general manager coming from Kauri Cliffs,... More

I have stayed at many many first class places and Huka Lodge needs to be somewhere at the top. They are pricey, but I really felt that given what was included, the location and the views, the exclusivity, that the price was actually on the low side (note I stayed in off season and paid the smaller Tariffs). Activities booked... More
