Everything about Huka is memorable, from the welcoming at arrival, the lunch, the chalet, the pre-dinner drinks which is an event in itself, dinner and the post dinner wines ports and cheeses. Absolutely outstanding - staying here is something truly special indeed. The service is spectacular, the grounds and location world class, the food even more so. A bucket list... More

We love places like this as you get absolutely everything that you want. Friendly, discrete service. A beautiful room with all the space and facilities you need. A wonderful view from your terrace. Tremendous food served in any number of beautiful places around the property. Everything had been thought of. It's true, there isn't a TV in the room or... More

We spent 4 nights at this amazing lodge in late October 2015 and had one of the best travel experiences ever. Every dinner was an event and absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable. Lodge rooms were well maintained and very relaxing. The best: catching a nice 1lb rainbow trout (catch and release only) with a fly rod right behind our room.... More

The setting is really quite special and the gardens are perfectly manicured. Everyone is super friendly, and genuinely so. The food (5 course menus every evening) is really quite good and they will accommodate to any diet. Really loved how you can choose different locations around the lodge and estate to dine, and love how many real wood fireplaces are... More

Staying at the Huka Lodge was clearly and certainly a treat. Yes, the Lodge is not inexpensive but the quality of service makes staying there a memorable experience. Starting with the staff, everyone could not possibly be more professional, charming and helpful. Within an hour or two my wife and I were addressed by our names (a very nice touch).... More

I spend 70-100 nights per year in hotels. I may not be able to say this is the very best but I can not name a better place. This hotel to me is what staying in a luxury hotel is about. You are going to be paying but you pay at any place of this caliber. It is not a... More

Huka Lodge is a truly beautiful place, and I'm glad we stayed there in Taupo. The rooms and grounds are truly spectacular, but I feel the service could have been better. Most luxury lodges are spectacular, with amazing grounds and rooms designed to leave you speechless, but the service is what justifies the price point. We had just come from... More

Dear Jess D, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. This situation has actually never happened to us before …. Unfortunately driving to the staff car park confused the team as it was thought you may be a staff member or a contractor. Most guests do just park in front of the main entrance and the team... This is by far one of the best hotels in the world. The staff is hands down, the most professional and helpful I have ever encountered. All of the rooms are elegant and are situated on the banks of the river....a 10 minute hike to Huka Falls. The food and wine are outstanding and the beautifully planted grounds at springtime...
