This is by far the most affordable option we could find in Taupo. We booked a one bedroom unit for the price of a studio elsewhere and the owner upgraded us to a two bedroom for free! Very retro décor and some things are a bit tired (our kitchen cupboard latches were broken), but you get lots of space, a... More

Loved this retro little holiday park, nice clean accommodation in a quiet area, a short walk to the lake and town centre Everything you could possibly need in this lodge in terms of pots and pans, plenty of crockery etc, comfy bed (although I thought there were a few too many covers on the bed and maybe just one quilt... Clean and had all the basics. Comfy bed and nice quiet area. Easy flat walk to town. However our taps dripped constantly which was not good for the environment or the sound quality. Had some nice homely touches like a milk jug.

I have stayed here a couple of times in the last two months. Although the motel is quite old and the interior and fittings are a bit dated, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner is polite and helpful. Its location is only a 5 minute walk from the central business area and nightlife. Will definitely... More

I love the charm of this hotel and always like staying in the older non-chain hotels - when you can find one thats clean and well maintained. This place was immaculate! And finally a hotel where you can open the windows and door and let in some fresh air. It was nice to have the kettle in the morning to... More

Nice units, fully equipped, free internet (rare for taupo). The motel is not far away from downtown and about 5 blocks away from the lake. It has a few units so you should book fast, they have a peto rabbit that is very friendly (there was a friendly rabbit.... maybe it wasnt theirs) The owner will be happy to help... More

This motel is situated off a quiet street in this nice town, and far enough away to be really peaceful. It is small, and the owner extremely friendly and willing to please. And in addition, he has a pet rabbit which wanders around the site. The rooms are neat, clean, very well-equipped, and inexpensive. We will certainly stay there next... More

An older style motel representing good value for money. We had a two bedroom unit at the price of a room elsewhere in town. Furnishings were older and a bit tired in places but meticulously clean. Good location close to the centre of town, but at the same time quiet. Would stay there again. Our nine year old enjoyed the... More

I stayed here on the recommendation of a business friend. When you are on the road selling all you want is a quiet, clean and warm place to stay. The Free Internet was a first for me. Havn't come across that before now! Well done Colin and Yen who are quiet yet friendly couple. This place would be awesome for... More
