One night while we were there was movie night, we got free hot chocolate and popcorn and watched films together and the next night we got free spag bol for dinner!! We stayed in a double room and it was great, really spacious... More

One of the best hostels I have stayed at, Chris is the best and very helpful/accommodating! Only place we've been to with free wifi and actual comfy beds. They have tons of free activities to do in roturua. All around a positive experience!

Definitely one of my best ever hostel experiences. The hostel is clean, affordable and well-equipped, with two kitchens, an awesome social area, a movie watching den, pool table and free hot tub! Wifi is free as well, which is always a plus. The owner, Chris, is almost always around to answer questions, and never made me feel like a nuisance... More

We stayed in a private room for 3 nights. Comfortable bed and clean room. The kitchen was kept clean by everyone staying there, it was organized and easy to find everything you needed. The lounge was great after a long day of sightseeing. Free movies to watch, pool table and an easy space to meet other people. The location was... More

The initial plan was for myself and my partner to stay at a hotel/ motel, however due to the lateness of our bookings- they were way too expensive so decided to stay here in a double private room. We were both pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and tidy, the staff friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable- we... More

Crash Palace is the place with 3 fantastic points: Place, People, Price. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Chris, Karine and Jerome, were really good hosts, giving us good information of places to visit in Rotorua. Chris is also very helpful in solving problems, one incident where the powerstrip in the room was no working. He came... More

I had a lovely stay at Crash Palace. The owner had a very welcoming lounge made from his own hard working experience, you could feel the love of the room as it also has culture meaning. The facilities were on point as it is in winter it was warm and lovely. Overall it was wonderful!
