This is the second time we have stayed here. It is such great value - NZ$99 including breakfast just can't be beaten. Rooms are clean and tidy and big enough for a short stay. It is very handy to all the attractions in Rotorua. more

Good location in Rotorua. Never noticed the sulphur smell at the hotel given favourable wind direction. Rooms are basic but nice, and of average size. Bed fairly comfortable and thick fluffy pillows. Bathroom a little dated and worn. We stayed at Ventura for 3 nights in a Family Suite. The room was very clean and somewhat quiet. The smell of Sulphar was covered up by a very strong smell of room deoderisor but you got used to it after a while and i must admit it was a nicer smell than the Sulphar.
