In short, this is an excellent place to stay. The owners are very relaxed, yet helpful. The food was very good (they have an in-house chef). It's pricey, but worth it. more

Hamurana Country Estate is a boutique hotel about 15 mins outside Rotorua. It has its own very good quality restaurant. We particularly enjoyed their own smoked venison. You can enjoy a drink in their friendly bar where if there's no one to serve you, you can help yourself and just note it on your tab. There is a snooker table... more
