Went there last year in August. Room was small but well worth it. We didn't try the breakfast downstairs but my mother really enjoyed the buffet breakfast we had In Novotel (since IBIS and Novotel are under the same company)...so I guess the food from IBIS should be good as well.

I stayed two nights, and although it has enjoyable food available and is centrally located to the lake and restuarants, the pillows were painful, the internet TERRIBLY expensive and slow, and no sky movie, news television channels at all. Not at all impressed with the $22 charge for 24 hours of not particularly decent internet. Not when many other hotels/motels... More

We stayed for two nights, also our family stayed in the next room for the second night. This hotel is excellent (far superior to Little Bourke Ibis in Melbourne, which is fine but doesn't come close), we couldn't fault it. Our room was perfect and they have a lovely restaurant/bar, but what really made our stay was the top-notch staff... More

Stayed at the Ibis Rotorua for one night. Good clean accommodation, friendly service and well located. Has a good bathroom for Ibis rooms - with a proper shower. While the restaurant is good for breakfast, the nearby Novotel restaurant is also good. Will be staying there again.

Compact clean rooms, comfy beds and heaps of free parking. So close to town so easy to walk everywhere from here, including being super close to Eat St. Staff pleasant and check-in easy. Didn't use food services so cannot comment but restaurant/bar area seemed nice enough. Super value for money. Would stay again.

A fantastic location next to the main street. Very functional rooms with comfy bed and excellent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as good as any 5 star hotel we have stayed in. Also really kid friendly.
