We have recently stayed at Waiteti Lodge for 3 nights and found Val and Brian to be just the best hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The fishing outside the Lodge is great and Brian was kind enough to give my husband lots of advice, as well as the loan of waders. Val's breakfasts were to die for, especially the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights over the New Year period and had a very pleasant stay, despite the appalling weather! Val and Brian are a lovely couple, very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Location-wise, it's perfect, being right on the lake with beautiful views (which we did eventually get to see when the sun finally came out!) and away from... More

I picked out the Waiteti Lakeside lodge for our honeymoon after reading through a spate of good reviews, and I have no regrets. Lovely hosts, Val and Brian, will do their best to make sure you enjoy the best parts of Rotorua after enjoying an amazing home cooked breakfast. Our room had an amazing view of the lake and a... My wife and i spent a couple of days with Val and Brian at Waiteti Lodge in Rotorua. Even though we were late arriving the welcome was awesome. We were offered a cup of coffee, freshly ground, tea or a glass of wine and engaged in the most interesting conversation with the most friendly hosts you could ever hope to... More

Brian and Val, our hosts, were absolutely amazing! Allowing us to arrive late one night, and incredibly knowledgable about the area. They were able to book tours for us and rank the attractions in the area so we wouldn't miss what they considered the best part of the area. They helped plan our route back to Auckland. The views of... More

Staying at the Waiteti Lodge was a joy, warm welcome and complimentary drinks to start. Once settled in our room with a breathtaking view across Lake Rotorua we descended to the lounge and had an in depth briefing of the attractions and eateries available. Val and Brian are great hosts with a natural warmth and interest in your holiday experience.... More

Spent 4 days with Brian and Val at the Waiteti Lodge. Could have spent a month! Brian has done almost everything, fish, lead hunts, do naturalist tramps, and even convinced a Yorkshirewoman to come and spend his life with him in Rotorua (Val). Together they made up a charming pair of welcoming hosts, great cooking, volumes of information about tramps,... More

We stayed in the bach next door with our 3 children. We enjoyed the lake front location and found it conveniently close to Rotorua attractions. Great value and highly recommended. Brian and Val were knowledgeable and hospitable. More

The lodge is right on beautiful lake Rotorua. Accordingly there are excellent opportunities to engage in all that Rotorua has to offer. Rotorua is a short drive away but many of the activities we undertook offered free pick up services. Val and Brian were warm welcoming hosts who helped us plan our activities and book them, bringing their considerable local... More

My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay at this B&B. It is well situated to explore the area (but you need a car) and has a great location right on the lake. Our sightseeing float plane picked us up for a flight right off the adjacent beach. The hostsBrian and Val are most accomodating and make you feel... More
