Lindsay and Graham were extremely welcoming and genuinely lovely people. The property is well maintained and the cabin it's self was clean spacious and comfortable. The cabin is set apart from the main lodge offering the perfect amount of privacy. We spent 3 nights in the cabin with the majority of our days spent out and about doing an assortment... More

First of all this is not a lodge in the country, which is what you might think from the pictures. It is a house on the lake next to other houses (which, in all fairness, also call themselves lodges.) When we arrived they showed us a bedroom in the house. When we expressed deep disappointment about an ordinary room at... More

Lyndsay and Graham made us feel like visiting our family. We had 3times breakfast and it was never the same. Lyndsay is a great cook. After arrival we were offered coffee and cake which we really appreciated. We had nice chats and wine together. Our room was a bit small but nicely decorated. The lodge offers also larger rooms which... More

We were the first ones to stay in the wonderful Mokoia apartment which is a self contained large flat with King bedroom, living/ dining room and kitchen, all three with big glass sliding doors to the terrace and gardens with direct lake access. The apartment has a second bedroom and all amenities wanted. It is a very quiet and peaceful... More

Lindsay and Graham made us feel like we were visiting family. We were in New Zealand for our Anniversary and we felt like we were at home. Their rooms are beautiful and the view is just stunning. Lindsay is the BEST cook!!! I wanted to eat breakfast all day! and she makes the best dip on the planet. They have... More

A excellent first class B&B tucked away in a quiet corner of Ngongotaha alongside the world renowned trout fishing stream - the Waititi. The owners will gladly help any anglers to catch a trout. The B&B is spotless with a magnificent breakfast supplied, wide choice of food and heaps ot it. Highly recommend this one....

How does one describe a 'home away from home' 11,000 miles from our Nantucket Island home? Since our 1st visit to Lakeside Lodge in 2005, we have returned each of the 3 times we have 'wintered' in New Zealand. Since then, Lindsay & Graham have become treasured friends. We stayed with them 3 times in 2013 and were especially pleased... More

We found Lyndsay and Graham purely by chance - how lucky for us! We have enjoyed superb hospitality, marvellous friendship and stunning breakfasts. Our firm intention is to revisit this beautiful country and Rotorua in particular. My only regret is that I did not have enough time to have a day's fishing with Graham as he has all the gear... We arrived in the evening, after a long drive and were immediately welcomed and provided with late dinner as arranged. Breakfasts were especially memorable and Lyndsay and Graham were able to share local knowledge to help plan our days... all advice proved to be perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and we wish that our stay could have been longer.... More

Our stay at Ngongotaha Lakeside Lodge was in and of itself, a memory of a lifetime! It was recommended to me by a co-worker who had stayed there several years earlier to our trip in December. Prior to our arrival, I had many communications with Lyndsay and Graham, who over the months became like family to us. Upon our arrival,... More
