As soon as you visit the loos, or on-site kitchen you're greeted with notices saying that after 25 years the owners want to sell. It's obvious they have really moved on already as the place is pleasant, but very rough round the edges with a standard of accommodations not really appropriate to the, in our case $48 per night powered... It is my first time experience with a motorhome. I was in the parking space 38. The parking space was very big for easy parking. It was equipped with power for the motorhome. The dump station was very nearby, again easy for off loading the waste water and refills of fresh water. The kitchen & shower was very well looked... More

Friendly and welcoming staff checked us in and offered us lots of discount vouchers for the local attractions, we used their discount voucher for the polynesian spa! We stayed just one night with our camper. The park is located right on the lake and has some bubbling mud pools itself and just a minutes walk to others by the lake.... More

We stayed as a family of 4 and had a lovely time! The hot pools were great and we used the shared facilities for showering. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and know alot about the area! So much to do and so little time.

I'm not sure where to begin... Perhaps I can start by wondering what qualifies as "heated" campsite, as the ground certainly wasn't anything but cool to the touch, and certainly not as they claim "warm as toast". Speaking of warm things, "try the unique experience of camping next to a bubbling mud pool!" Well we did that. The experience was... More

On arrival we were told that we had been given the chalet. What a disappointment. On walking up the ramp, there was a disposable plastic bowl in the garden and a meat packet beside the ramp. On the verandah were numerous cobwebs and layers of dust over the furniture. Inside didn't get any better with a fridge that was wobbly.... More

Place is very tired and in need of rejuvenating, pool and spa areas are ok and add a little value to the stay, what really annoyed me was the lack of internet wifi provided, travelers need this service and time and time again I found in NZ people are being charged ridiculous amounts for this service, Cosy Cottage was the... The campsite has naturally heated hot pools which are great to relax in and a swimming pool! There's boiling mud and a track to the lake front where you can dig a hole with the spade you can borrow from the site and soak your feet in the hot water. The site also has a steam oven and you can... More

stay here two nights in motor home. Pitches a bit tight for large van. Good location near the lake and access to nature walk and hot springs. Enjoyed the hot tubs and the flock of Pukeko begging for food. Facilities ok

We enjoyed our stay here. The facilities were nice and clean. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The location was great for hot water beach, which our two year loved. Our first visit to Rotarura and we will definitely stay here again the next time.
