My husband and I are the regular customers from Auckland. We never regret staying there. The room, the view, the handy location, the breakfast and ther services, Novotel Rotorua Lakeside makes our every trip to Roturua a wonderful experience.

The location is ideal for Rotorua it's on the lake promenade. With the high street within walking distance...and lots of restaurants and bars located close by it's ideal to pull up here for your stay. In fact This hotel has a beautiful bar too with space outside for smokers to sit and swap stories. The lobby area is big with... More

This hotel is centrally located to everything and so simple to get to. Best dinner I have had out in a long time and a great selection for all tastes. Walk to shops, lake front and many attractions. I will definitely be back to stay and continue exploring Rotorua. So much to do and a lovely hotel to return to... More

We really enjoyed our stay, the service was very good. The rooms were fantastic, nice and warm and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We were happy to have wifi although it was not free which is probably the only downside to the stay. Overall, we enjoyed.

We have stayed at the two best places in Rotorua - 1. Regent of Rotura and 2. Novotel. Regent of Rotorua is better than Novotel, but Novotel is still very good. Although it doesn't have free wifi in the room like the Regent, there is free wifi in the lobby (30 minutes or 50mb), cheaper than the Regent, the beds... More

Staff were friendly and helpful from check in through to check out. The children enjoyed the pool, spa and internet area. Breakfast was excellent lots of variety. The location is perfect, walking distance to 'Eat Streat' and awesome ice cream shop across the road! Rooms comfortable and well presented. We would stay here again.

Cost $149 per night in August. Reception area very nice, the bathroom was not clean, long black hairs through the bathroom and in the bar fridge. We left the room to allow them to clean it. Yes, it inconvenienced us. The safe didn't work. Reception offered to fix but we declined as we just wanted peace and quiet. Wi-fi is... More

A well appointed hotel in a good location with plenty of restaurants and cafés just round the corner. Rooms could be a little more sound-proof as noise carried easily around corridors and up from floor below.

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and found it very pleasant. Its certainly looking very tired, especially the bathrooms. We had a twin bedded room as we had our two granddaughters with us. The only chair to sit on was a straightbacked dining chair. The beds were very hard, even the girls made comment about them. I had... More

We did not know exactly what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised! As was our experience throughout NZ, the people were extremely friendly; however, the concierge, Lawrence, was amazing. He helped to coordinate our travel and our reservations for Hell's Gate (also amazing, by the way) and was repeatedly exceptional with service throughout our stay. The hotel itself... More
