We were overjoyed at how close the hotel is to the polynesian SPA. The hotel is quite and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was full of delicious things. The swimming-pool is heated. There is a strong smell coming from the lake (H2S if I remember my chemistry). Not sure if it was the lake, or if someone in the staff suffered... more

Quite a nice hotel, if a bit dated in some of the public areas. Lobby etc, is nicely decorated but was too cold. Bar was understaffed in the evenings meaning it was difficult to get a drink, we ended up walking out twice. However, concierge and front desk were very helpful. Room itself was tastefully decorated and warm. Nice bathroom.... more

Again, Millennim Hotel in Rotorua proved to be a good value for money. Huge reception area with great bar and restaurant. Nice rooms and courteous service. Spa facilities inside the hotel also quite satisfactory. But the great advantage is that the Hotel is just besides the World Renowned Polynesian Spa - offering hot mud bath therapy, massages and different temperature... more

The hotel did not seem to be very busy when we arrived. We were given a room on the top floor. It was not huge, a European size room and the shower was over the bath in the bathroom, but it was clean and comfortable enough. Noise did leak in to the room from a nearby bathroom, the corridor outside... more

After just leaving a similarly priced hotel in Nelson, NZ we found the Millenium in Rotorua 10x better for the price! We checked in late at about 11pm but the staff was still very helpful and even let my husband see what the room looked like before checking in. The room was spacious and lovely, the shower was great, and... more

Have stayed here a few times. This time we stayed 7 nights and took a top floor (no children allowed) club room for $199 per night with continental breakfast. Paid an extra $7 each for cooked buffet breakfast on the odd morning. The room was quiet and the club lounge is a nice bonus. The staff were lovely and friendly.... more

Hotel staff friendly and rooms clean. Location was handy. What I would not recommend about the hotel is that the tour busses park in the street next to the Hotel and start their engines warming up any time from 05.30 am and beep their horns at other buses when they are leaving. This occurs EVERY morning with no respite for... more

We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be a really nice stay. The bed was just HUGE and we had a private heated spa out on the balcony!! Staff were friendly, and really had no complaints here! more

Stayed for a business conference. A great location close to Government Gardens and Polynesian Pools. The room was clean but starting to look a little "worn around the edges". Food was average; not as good as expected after a previous stay 2-3 years ago. Conference and restaurant staff were friendly and very accommodating. Reception staff not quite so welcoming. A... more
