My partner and I stayed here in July, I booked it because of a deal I had found online. The location was very good, close to the main eating district and a short walk from the lake. We found the bed very comfortable, and liked the touch of the comfy fluffy white robe. The internet worked very well in our... More

We stayed at this Hotel in July for one night. It was our first stay after viewing it last time we visited Rotorua. We requested a quiet room and the booking confirmation stated if a Classic room was booked you would be automatically upgraded to an Estate room. We were shown to our room which was ground floor off the... More

We loved our stay in the Princes Gate Hotel in Rotorua. Great spacious room, friendly staff, good food, and those very hot spas in the enclosed courtyard. Having dinner by the fireplace was just like at home! The restaurant was very well appointed, it felt like a special occasion. Location was great too. Just a stroll from the Rotorua Museum,... More

A group of 15 friends stayed at the hotel for two nights. The rooms, the service and the meals were outstanding and the management and staff went out of their way to make us welcome. They put on a special mid-winter Christmas dinner on the Saturday night complete with decorations and Christmas crackers just for our group which was a... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel in May. We were down for the Rotorua Marathon planning to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying for 5. The hotel is just beautiful, so much charm. We had swims in the pools here which were so very inviting. The staff we could not fault everyone from the... More

The historic significance is what attracted me. Staff excellent. Negative reviews I read were rubbish. The spa was brilliant: great after a drive from Auckland and a day out sightseeing. Only points; put a light over the tea station as it is unlit. Make wifi free and unlimited in rooms. And replace the silly pencil with a branded pen. Minor... More

Fabulous location and lovely staff. It was a busy weekend as it was the 50th anniversary of the Rotorua marathon so there was a great atmosphere. The bed was comfy and we had a beautifully decorated room. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for the first time & stay at hotels around the world for our job so expect cleanliness and good service. We really enjoyed staying here, it is beautifully kept with a lot of history. The staff were great and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in. Perfect location and free... More

After visiting the famous Roturoa bath house, we had a wonderful lunch buffet at the hotel and were received personally by the owner, Brett Marvelly. After giving us a bit of history he led us to a nice buffet of salads and cold cuts, followed by a live BBQ and an amazing buffet of desserts where large bowls of Creme... More
