The hostel was clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our kids enjoyed the tennis, soccer table and free wifi. Sauna was not working. Kitchen had everything you need for cooking. Staff were helpful for booking things and you get a discount if you book through them rather than directly. A quiet, basic hostel that for the money was a great... More

Finally a hostel where the owners have some common sense with the interior. Clean carpets and nice bright colors, and most of all, it was reassuringly clean all around. The lounge area is nicely separated from the rooms, allowing you to chat, browse the web and watch tv until late without disturbing the other guests. One of the better hostels... More

This place was absolutely spotless, and great value for price. The facilities were very good and clean - plenty of showers and equipment in the kitchen. The host was very helpful and funny with lots of information and anecdotes. She also gave us discount vouchers for attractions in Rotorua. It was very quiet the night we were there with just... Excellent hostel for travelers that like peace and family environment. Very clean and amazing service. It is a little a bit far of downtown, but is not big deal. 15 min on foot you are there without problem. Recommend!!

Very clean and quiet hostel and you would have good sleep :) The common lounge is huge with free WIFI. The owner is very kind and care a lot about us with English, Korean and Japanese. It's very helpful and I recommend.

Located on a quiet street near the Aquatic centre and opposite the park, it's only a ten minute walk to the centre of town. After lengthy research this seemed to be the cheapest place to stay in town. We stayed in a double with shared facilities. The room was basic and clean. There were only eight people staying that night... More

Great value hostel. The common area is massive and very well set up. The free internet/wifi is exactly that , there are no vouchers , no time limit which is very unusual for NZ. The large kitchen is very well equipped with multiple fridges, lots of pots, pans etc and is spotless. The rooms are great and the showers have... More

We found this jewel of a hostel on our way to YHA in Rotorua. It is located on the other side of the city park so while it may seem far away, it's actually quite close to the shops / down town, only separated by the city park. The park itself is a hot springs / sulfur wonderland in its... More

I stayed here for two nights in June as part of a six week tour of NZ. Sarah, who runs the hostel, couldn't be nicer or more welcoming! However the first night I was there, only one other person was staying, and the second night it was just me, which I felt was such a shame. Rotorua was a bit... More
