The location is a little far away from City, but it is really quiet and near Lake Rotorua, The view is really beatiful and the whole house looks clean and tidy. It is best to stay here in the Summer time, then u can use the swimming pool and sauna. It is good for the people who like quiet place... More

Spent 4 nights here. The level of service was beyond anything I have experienced anywhere. Nothing was too much trouble including making a coffee on request and even driving us both ways to eat in town so we had no problems with one of us not drinking. The food, decor in the rooms and the facilities were great. We will... More

Our only regret or dislike about our experience is our stay was not long enough. Wonderful location, exceptional service and a quality facility. This place is perfect to escape and spend a quiet night away from it all or enjoy as a group. One of the best i have stayed in for years and we will be returning when we... More

Great waterside location, with interesting grounds. The interior is very blingy - in a good way - although the black carpets must drive the staff crazy. There were only 2 rooms occupied while we were there, so we had the opportunity to enjoy chatting to Gretchen when we had a drink after dinner. We had a great time and would... More

Our only regret about this hotel is that we were not able to spend more time there. The grounds and views are beautiful, the room was a perfect set-up for a family of 4, and the whole place has a luxurious feel to it. Best of all was the manager who was on duty while we were there, Gretchen. She... More

My party of four adults had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at the Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel in late April. The host/manager, Gretchen, couldn't have been more friendly, knowledgable, or accommodating. She seemed to be tireless, working at the front desk from dawn until late into the night. The property is located on stunning well kept grounds, right... More

Wow - what a place. This is a stunning boutique hotel with the most wonderful lakeside views and gardens. We stayed for one night and although this is an expensive stop over you most definitely get what you pay for. Fabulous rooms, stunning views, elegant decor and the most attentive and helpful host in Gretchen who could not do enough... More

Should have been at the Regent Of Rotorua but Paul Carberry of New Zealand in Depth and his kiwi associate Rebecca Gill managed to get us an upgrade to the new “sister hotel”, out of town, right on the lakeside, very “bling-bling” but tasteful, all black, white & sparkles! The owners have already spent a fortune bringing a very tired... More

The moment we headed down the long driveway to The Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel I had the feeling we were in for a special treat - and we were. The hotel is located on the edge of Lake Rotorua, a 5-10 minute drive from town, yet a world away. It is serene, stylish, comfortable and elegant. Upon arrival we... More
