Roger and his family were perfect hosts on our trip. Unfortunately, we had just a stopover for one night, but it's definitely a location for a longer stay. You have direct access to Lake Rotorua and if you ask kindly, Roger will borrow his kayak for a paddletour on the lake. Without doubt, 5 stars... :)

Stayed here to attend a friend's wedding reception party that was being held at the club rooms down the road from this accommodation property. On arriving down the drive it looked a bit dubious, with the drive meandering down to the back end of the house. We were greeted by the female host who was uncertain about our booking, we... More

Roger and Katherine are great hosts and their accommodations are great. They helped us plan our short visit in Rotorua and our only regret is not getting to stay longer. Out room was lovely and super comfortable. The property is beautiful and they even offered their kayak for us to borrow (didn't have time but if had stayed longer would... More

We chose Koutu Beach for the last three days of our recent holiday. During the previous week we stayed at two other B&B s in Hawkes Bay which were comfortable whereas Koutu Beach was comfortable and hospitable. Roger and Catherine went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed and included us in their activities as... More

Roger and Katherine took great care of us. Clean rooms and excellent location. We wanted to borrow the grill one evening and all of a sudden, Roger had set up a BBQ party with the neighbors! So nice and friendly!

THe hosts, Roger and Katz were extremely helpful in telling us about the interesting sights in the area. The location is great for getting into town and/or exploring local... More

We were visiting from Shanghai and were totally surprised by the quality and ambiance that we found. Far superior to any other B&B we have ever used and the hosts Katie and Roger were excellent. Not only was their welcome very warm and friendly but the advice they gave about Rotorua was spot on. Defintely will use again on future... More

Our family of 8 have received the warmest hospitality from our hosts Roger and Catherine at Koutu Beach B&B during our two nights' stay. The B&B has an astonishing lake front view, safe water activities such as swimming and kayaking for the children as well as a wonderful selection of breakfast and nibbles. The hosts were most helpful with choosing... More
