15 minutes away from the Rotorua. With Fresh Air and beautiful Views.. Just on the Lake Front. A perfect place for a honeymoon or a spending some time with your loved ones. But I was here on work and will go back with my family. This is perfect. The Hotel seems a bit Old but the place is Clean. I... More

Thank you Gavin J for your praise. Our team strives to provide top of range customer service, making our guests stay a memorable one. The tranquility of Lake Rotoiti, the serenity of lush green lawns of Hotel, the heavenly peace of the Hotel compound, the mesmerising views of lake and mountains from most of rooms are unforgettable. This hotel has certainly seen better days. Everything just seemed a bit...stingy. The king bed was two singles pushed together, which is normal, but the mattresses were pretty sunken so you couldn't really stretch out. The furniture in the rooms certainly needed replacing. Worst wifi ever. Wifi in cheap hotels in rural Turkey is honestly better- all web pages just... More

We stayed here for 1 night in August (under the name Amora Lake Resort). We had a B&B deal which was a saving grace. The hotel has some definite luxurious history, but is now a little rough around the edges. It was quite stunning for a 1 night stay. Would stay again.

Dear Peckanz: Appreciate your candid comments. Yes, the hotel has had Thai royal kings legacy. Management is gearing up for fine touching on the edges. Together with surrounding revamping, thorough tuning is on cards. Weather is also much more pleasant now than August. So the team look forward to welcome you again this summer. Regards More

I have stayed here twice with the regular specials available. For between $110 and $130 this hotel beats all others in terms of comfort and style. Lakeview rooms are the best. Baths have an awesome view if you are brave enough to slide back the shutters. It's a bit out of town so you will need you own transport.

We stayed at VR Rotorua Lake Resort last weekend in Lake view king room. On arrival we were personally greeted by reception who took us on a quick tour of the facilities before showing us to our cottage. The view is breathtaking, the staff was very helpful and welcoming even though we were late in reaching the hotel. The breakfast... More

The Resort is located around 15 minutes outside of Rotorua, but is a world away for the busy town centre. We had a King Room overlooking Lake Rotoiti, across grass bank. It was so peaceful we actually spent a little more time at the resort than normal just enjoying the view. The staffs were so kind and helpful. The room... More

This would be a wonderful location for a summer vacation. The views of the lake from our room were lovely. I can definitely imagine sitting on the little patio with a glass of wine, relaxing and watching the water. Alas, I visited in early spring so none of that for me. I was somewhat surprised by the location, as the... More

A charming location, overlooking the serene Amora Lake. However, the hotel itself has fallen into disrepair. We were told by some of the staff that it has been taken over by a budget-oriented company. Rooms are super small, furniture dated and linens threadbare. The only restaurant is substandard. Come here for the view and walk around the lake, but staying... More
