A family home owned by the lovely Sonya, Dave and Lily overlooking Rotarua, we self drove and made a last minute booking online at their residence based on recommendations. This is a farm BNB and not a hotel so don't be too demanding and don't expect the world. It was a short drive from downtown Rotarua and maybe a little... More

We stayed for four nights at Hunts Farm with Dave and Sonya and found it to be warm, inviting, cosy and comfortable. Delicious breakfast each morning with home grown and home made goodies. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly with local advice and making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful house for one night. Simply amazing. A great place to relax after a busy day enjoyng the "haka". Sonja and her family are very very friendly and it is a pleasure to chat with them, while enjoyng the very good breakfast that Emma (Sonja's daughter) prepared for us. The room is very... More

What a treat! Gorgeous views, set above rotorua. Maureen has boundless energy! We had the place to ourselves, and enjoyed the quiet, idyllic setting. Maureen was full of suggestions as to what to do and where to go, and booked us to see a Maori cultural show. Would definitely stay again...

We were recommended this B&B from another B&B from Waitomo. But in their defense, they stayed with Dorothy, but she didn't have anything available so we opted for her daughters home on the same property. We arrived around dinner time and their family was having dinner. It felt like we were interrupting their family and was showed our room by... More

When I called to find out about Hunt's farm, Maureen said "we would love to have you stay with us" and from that moment on I didn't want to stay anywhere else. Hunt's Farm is in the most stunning location, up on a hill overlooking Rotorua but while away from the sulphur smell of the town, it is still very... More

We stayed three nights in this spacious, fully equipped and cosy upstairs apartment with great views over the entire town and without the sulphur smells that often occur in town. Rooms together 77m2 including a cork floored en-suite bedroom, and a total of 4 beds. Full breakfast was served downstairs in the living area with open kitchen, where we also... More

Sonya and Dave along with their family, and the unforgettable cat Louie provided the two of us with an outstanding 6 night Easter getaway. The upper guest wing of the beautifully designed 'farm house' has the perfect balance of privacy and welcoming homeliness. We were welcomed into their family living area for a delightful breakfast every morning (big thanks to... More

If you enjoy a quiet holiday and warm hospitality, Hunt's Farm is a great choice in rotorua. We stayed with Sonya for 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. Sonya and her daughter (who cooked us breakfast) were friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We were lucky with the weather and went to bed... More

The Hunt family has been the nicest host we had on our NZ trip so far. We stayed in the upstaires part of their huge house directly attached to their ground floor living room. This part sleeps five and has got an own bathroom. Lilly (one of the daughters) prepared every day a nice breakfast (continental with much homemade food... More
