I was on a night bus when I got off Rotorua and was warmly welcomed although it was late. Very clean, small and cozy hostel. Everything was kind of self-contained which made it really accessible. Location was great too as it was near the i-site and not far from shops, etc. The staff definitely made it an enjoyable stay!

Couldn't get to sleep due to noise from the live music bar downstairs. Great location and cheap for Nz but no good if you can't sleep. Also the bedrooms are directly off the common area so if there are noisy guests out there you'll know about that too. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Reasonably priced double room. The hostel is really small with only a few rooms so any noise in the lounge filters into the room. Fortunately the other guests kept the noise to a minimum after 9 pm. Lots of freebies including tea, coffee, spices and wifi. There were two sets of bathrooms, unisex and female. God for one or nights... More

Myself and a friend stayed at this hostel for two nights in May and found it friendly, clean and very comfortable. We wanted to book a private room but they were sold out so went for a 4 bed dorm. We were very lucky as had no one else in with us throughout our stay. The room we had was... More

Friendly location - situated on eat street, have night market every Thursday, walking distance to i-site, Government Garden as well as Pak'nSave. Very friendly place to stay. Manager Adam is very helpful. Free WiFi. Toilet and shower is clean. Unlike some big scale backpackers which is too busy and crowded, atmosphere here is relax and cosy. I'm totally enjoyed the... One of the best hostels I have stayed in so far, it may not be the most modern of hostels but it's clean, friendly and well placed, with a night market just outside. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the hostel has a lovely homely feel to it and the staff are fantastic! It was a great place as a... More

Great location and very friendly staff making my stay fantastic. A clean and tidy hostel with free WiFi which is a great bonus. Tv and DVDs are free to use which is great when the weather isn't too great. Can't recommend this place enough

One of the best hostels I've stayed in in NZ. Felt like home away from home. Friendly staff, clean, brilliant location. Rooms are big and the Rotorua night market is right outside the front! Would defiantly recommend and stay here again! Good place for solo backpackers to come, met se great people!

What a beautiful hostel! Defenetly one of the best ones I've stayed in NZ! It's small, so you get to know people easily and there is such a nice atmosphere! Everything is clean and nice. It's very central, 3 mins walk to the iSite, near to the lake and to shops. And in the kitchen there are so many free... More
