We had a really enjoyable stay at the Dolphin Motel. Paul was extremely helpful in helping us with activities and kindly helped sort things out for the rest of our time in New Zealand. A very warm welcome for a motel in a great location to see the Bay of Islands

A few minutes stroll in to town, parking and free wifi, not to mention a cold beer on arrival. Our unit was cosy but had everything we needed. The manager Paul very helpful. Recommended the RSA for dinner, good choice, cheap and cheerful. Also arranged a Hole in the Rock trip for us, at such a good rate, won't say... More

We are a couple with two young kids coming from US. We enjoyed a lot our spacious, comfortable and clean one bedroom apartment at Dolphin motel. Paul was an excellent host. The place is nice and quiet and very close to the center. It would be nice if the check-in time was a extended.

Had a great time staying here. The unit had everything we needed and the owner was kind enough to lend us his DVD player. Great location and at an affordable price. Would definitely recommend this motel and would stay here again!

Two couples in a two bedroom unit. Hugh unit, more like a flat. Well kept and very clean, getting a bit used. Offstreet parking. Everything works as it should, located just a short walk up from the village (almost opposite the RSA, good place for dinner). Very helpful manager, Paul. Good value accommodation.

Two couples from Australia, we spent four nights at the Dolphin. We found host Paul outstanding, he was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The two bedroom unit was huge and very clean but a bit tired in a couple of areas. The location is perfect with about 300 meters to the water after passing through the local shopping centre. (Aussie... More

Only had one night here...wish we'd had time for more. Lovely motel! We were going to be arriving later in the day; received a phone call during the afternoon from the manager, telling us our room number and where the key was so we could walk straight in. The unit was lovely; clean and spacious, and more than adequate for... More

Paul the manager could not be more helpful. A beer on arrival, plenty of suggestions for eating that evening and recommendations for onward accommodation. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. It is slightly dated but met all our needs. Location is good for main high St and the beach area.
