Have stayed a couple times now while up north on business. Great central northland location, very peaceful, great restaurants nearby, owners Ken & Lynn are very helpful. I can imagine coming staying at Breakwater's for aleast a week for a holiday, so much so relaxing, yet plenty to see and do if you so desire.

This is a modern and superb motel. New and clean, and it is close to the heart of the town. We were impressed! However, please note: there is no late-checkout option here. Well, it is still Highly recommended to all!

My son and me had the most wonderful time in Paihia. A big part of it was staying at the Breakwater Motel and the helpfulness of Ken and Lyn. This was a surprise weekend away for my partner's birthday and we loved it. I think we had the best spot in Paihia. We will definitely be back. This is a great motel, wonderfully remodelled from the previous rooms. Very highly appointed rooms, all the things you expect in a top quality facility. Ken & Lyn are wonderful hosts, fully accomodating and delightfully cheerful. A very pleasureable stay.

We booked cheap rooms on a "daily deals" website and were a bit concerned about what we would get. We shouldn't have worried. Fantastic place to stay. So close to everything and so much to do in Paihia. Hosts Ken and Lyn were most helpful. Motel is like new!!! Have been telling everyone what a great place it is. Thanks Ken and Lyn, we will definitly be back again.
