this is one place I would definitely return to. Hooked up the campervan initially for 2 nights and liked it so much we stayed for a third. We would have stayed longer if we could. Pleasant location, helpful staff (thanks Jan) what more can I say.

Had a short stay of one night here, had been before so knew what was there. We were lucky to pick a time between the storms and rain that the region had been inundated with but the flood damage was very obvious. The accommodation hadn't been affected and we had a nice, basic, comfortable 2 bedroom unit upstairs. Basic but nice... More

Basic room and facilities but excellent value. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely setting and within a short drive of all of Paihia's attractions. I was a bit cold in the night but found a fan heater in the closet and another blanket which helped.

We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful resort. We arrived during a mini hurricane and the owner went out of her way to look after us - ensuring we parked our campervan between the buildings to remain safe, providing us with food, liaising with the company we booked our tours with, checking on road closures for our return and more.... We loved this place. We were looking for somewhere to have a mid week break that was away from the hustle and bustle and found it here. Sitting on the lawn drinking coffee (it was early in the morning) watching the world go by was "what the doctor" ordered. Everyone on the water seemed to be enjoying themselves and having... More

I took my children away for Easter and booked into the resort. It's a wonderful location with great amenities - pool, trampoline, kayak hire, giant chess, basketball hoop, pentanque court and lots of room to run around. One reasons I booked here was they had kayaks for hire and I thought it would be wonderful to kayak out to the... More

MAGIC. I love this place. If you want rustic charm, peace and quiet, with beautiful scenery and a friendly, generous patron then I seriously recommend this resort for solo travelers and families. It is a cosy, safe, laid back and hassle free site, not only for solos like me but a fabulous secret enclave for families wishing to truly relax.... More

After having difficulty finding accomodation one evening during our New Zealand trip, we decided to book the next night's bed before leaving where we were. Wanting to be at the Bay of Islands area, we consulted the free 'Jason accomodation guide' that we had picked up in a tourist i-site. From there we chose the Haruru Falls Resort Panorama, a... More

We are return visitors to Haruru. It has been a wonderful place to take our children to over the years and this is the first time we stayed on our own. Usual standard you would expect in the room, everything you need. The service and willingness to "go the extra mile" from Jan and her team are always what make... More

Since my last visit in 2013 the already great facilities at this campsite have been enhanced. A lovely 'bure' style barbeque area has been added, and new play equipment for the children. The large swimming pool with comfortable recliners and the view of the falls and lagoon really add to the relaxed atmosphere. Volleyball, trampoline, giant chess and kayaks for... More
