Not a great stay although we had a reasonable price for this popular tourist resort. To be fair it is in a good position, only a short walk from all amenities and the room was clean. However, our room had 3 beds which made it very cramped. The decor was dated and there was little if any soundproofing. The maid was cleaning... More

This is a 3 star hotel in Paihia...a beautiful coastal town in the bay of Islands. The hotel pricing is good value for money($90/night at a peak February weeekend)...rooms sleep three and are not flash, but adequate and in keeping with it's star rating. It is centrally located (without views) and has the usual facilities of restaurant, swimming pool etc.... More

We loved the Bay of Islands and were happy with the Hotel. It's very good value for money as you are not paying a premium for a top location. The walk into Pahia only took a few minutes and Pahia has some wonderful places to eat. The only downside was that the room was so hot so if anything the... More

Myself and a group stayed here for a week over the new years break. I had a good experience with tanoa hotel, they were easy to deal with from the start in terms of bookings etc, we paid $140 with 3 people in each room, and the rooms were clean and tidy, and situated a short walk to the centre... The family had a great time at this motel great walking distance from town and rooms are very clean and staff helpful. We didnt get enough time to sample the food in the resturant (indian food) as we were there for a weekend. I would come to this place again no problems value for money and not on the busy... More

We bought a coupon on the Groupon daily deal and encouraged daughter and another to do the same. $89 for a night for two in a "superior room" with continental breakfast. Great deal....Using coupon with my daughter in November 2011, we phoned and asked about the room, they said we would be in an upgraded room. Um, all of the... More

I was bitterly disappointed when I purchased a $89 deal (valued at $179) with the voucher stating a standard room. When I rang to enquire I got told we were being upgraded to a superior room. When I arrived we got put into a standard room. The things is, there are no superior rooms. These guys are blatent liars, and... More

We stayed three nights. It's a short 5-10min walk from the main action of Paihia, which is probably a good thing if you want to relax by the pool without being bothered by traffic and helicopters running joy flights. The only issue we had was being disturbed by very noisy plumbing - especially if our neighbors took a late night... More

Stayed here for a few days while touring on coach. Very good staff in restaurant and helpful on front desk. There are good laundry facilities. No Wifi. They do have a computer in common area but limited facility. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Food very good overall. Location good for venturing to very small township. The hotel has an outdoor... Two night stop on touring holiday. Very helpful at check in with good local information. Room rather bland but clean and all functional. Dinner was limited choice as menu all Indian food. Short walk into town with plenty of eating choices so not a problem. Overall a satisfactory stay. Noted an earlier comment about bus tours but did not encounter... More
