While not beachfront, this hotel is located quite close to restaurants and the jetty making it handy for the tours. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are big and although not luxurious they are comfortable and clean; ours had new carpet and a KB plus SB. Great value.

I would have to say our 13 day stay at the Paihia Pacific Hotel was the most memorable of all my holidays over the years. That's mainly due to the wonderful staff!!! Phil and his team were so very friendly and always happy to offer advice on tourist attractions etc, Also they showed a genuine interest in what we were... More

I endorse other reviews. Here is middle level (one step above basic), tour group hotel that goes out of its way to make guests welcome. Manager Phil and his staff work hard and are very obliging. We got a fantastic, "grab one" deal; it even included a bottle of bubbly! The room was large (so was the bed), the bathroom... More

We found Phil and his staff to be very friendly. He was particularly outgoing and we noted that he greeted and conversed with everyone who came in for breakfast on the two mornings we were there. He certainly is a people person and makes everyone feel welcome. The breakfast was adequate as 'Continental' was what we were expecting. Plenty of... More

Arrived at the property we where welcomed by Garreth, a very polite and helpful guy from Wales. He arranged a tour for us and give very good advises about restaurants... The entire staff was very polite and probably the best about this hotel. The second day we went for breakfast at 09:10am and the service was finish! (we never where... More

We booked through a Grabone deal and it was good value. Don't expect the Ritz but it was quite adequate for the 2 days we were there. Close to most amenities. Breakfast was good value for money. Pool was nice and refreshing - especially after sitting in the sauna for 20 minutes. I see from previous comments that the pool... More

We were so disapointed when we arrived at our room here. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars but I give it a 2. I have stayed in many hotels all around nz and this was the most dated and unclean one i've ever stayed at. We drive around Paihia to look for another option but everywhere... More

This hotel is in a great location and quiet as the rooms are off the road. Rooms have everything you need, including a comfy bed and surprise you with some nice touches; quality bath products, plunger coffee and decent coffee cups. Breakfast is impressive and again has some 5 star signs ie quality muesli. Pool a little tired looking but... More

We booked this hotel through Grabone and it was a very good deal. The accommodation itself was very average, but it was clean and quiet. The hotel was virtually empty and the restaurant and bar weren't open but that didn't worry us. They had an excellent spa. The pool was a bit dirty.

We booked this hotel on a special offer for a really good price. When we arrived not only were we greeted by a warm helpful clerk but to our delight we had been upgraded! We also were given a free drink each if dinned in. We did and the food was fantastic! Everything and everyone about the place was top... More
