It is easily one of the best (maybe the best) hostel in New Zealand. You feel like staying in a hotel rather than in a backpackers. Contemporary design, modern facilities and a cleanliness I've never experienced so far in New Zealand. They even clean the kitchen in the evening for the next morning. For any reason it does not attract... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in March and it was simply lovely. We had a seaview room which was great - recommend you ask for an upstairs room. It was modern, good shower and tidy. It isn't really a backpackers as it so much better equipped and nicer than you'd expect from one. The communal kitchen is spotless, again... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here, in a 6 bed dorm (Feb 21st, Laraine also stayed on the 20th). I was really impressed by this place - the 6 bed dorm was sectioned off into pairs (but without doors), the beds are very comfortable, it's very clean and it had 2 bathrooms within the dorm (but only 1 shower). The... More

This was the most "luxurious" hostel we stayed in during our three week vacation to New Zealand. It's awesome. Great rooms and common / kitchen area, great location, and everything was super clean and comfortable. Surpassed my expectations for sure.

We stayed for two nights and had such a brilliant comfortable stay in a pleasant room with very clean suroundings and fabulous views. The Pohutakawa treese were all in bloom, such a pretty sight. The staff were very kind and helpfull and we had a lovely stay. I would reccomend to everybody well worth a visit. Oh and go to... More

This backpackers is awesome. The only thing like it that I've seen on my travels so far is the Blackcurrant Backpackers in Taupo -- so, a newly converted motel with comfy single beds instead of bunks and some nicely designed flourishes throughout (like a beautiful kitchen and communal area and cute rooms) to make you feel good. You can see... More

Stayed in Double bed en-suite room, the room is spacious, bathroom was very clean. We were enjoyed to listen the wave sounds on the night, was a very enjoyable place to stay. Loved the kitchen and the kitchenware provided, had all the things we need and was very clean. Near to the Shippey's Fish n chips.

BBH is always a little dirty and noisy. But Seabeds is quite quiet and clean. Comfortable. Such a lovely place to stay in Paihia with great sea view. You can go to beach enjoying sunshine in two minutes! It's fabulous! Anyway I love it so much! If I have chance I will stay here again for a short holiday!

There's not a lot to say about this hostel because it is definitely the best hostel on the north island. It is extraordinarily clean and new and it's more a hotel than a hostel. The kitchen and the living room are very cozy and comfortable and it is easy to meet other people. Go to this place, you will not... More
