We stayed here for 3 nights in a superior studio on our way down to Wellington. Lovely views from the balcony and very close to the town for restaurants. Very spacious room, very clean with decent bed linen. Bathroom was spotless with lovely white fluffy towels and a good shower. Gentleman on reception very welcoming and helpful. On check out... Ground floor room was rather dark and gloomy, but clean and functional. Hotel is well positioned on sea front with easy walk to centre. Try the Six Sisters for breakfast. $150/night about average for our trip. Staff were friendly and helpful

Stayed in a superior studio room with balcony upstairs. Great view across Marine Parade to the sea and Cape Kidnappers. Pleasant and easy walking distance to town centre. Comfortable bed and furniture. Handy self-catering kitchen. Immaculate presentation. Clean and tidy. Very quiet and peaceful. The balcony is particularly nice to spend some time relaxing watching the happenings on Marine Parade.... More

We stayed here for two nights over new year's, in a ground floor room that would be perfect for those with mobility issues. Huge room, great living room and kitchen and seating outside on the patio. The room was surprisingly quiet, considering the time of year and being on Marine Parade. Off-street parking was great, if a little cramped, and... More

Stayed at the Edgewater Motor Lodge for a couple of nights in rm 12 - great views of marine parade with shared balcony, very clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, and just a lovely room to stay in overall with attention paid to the details. Would definitely come back again - fantastic value.

I spent three nights at the Edgewater Motor Lodge in a studio unit. The unit was not huge, but reasonably proportioned and certainly not small. The bathroom was spacious and the cooking area compact but everything that was required was available and there was an shared outdoor area off the studio that was right on Marine Parade. All in all... More

Had a one night stay recently and was pleased to see that rooms have been upgraded since my last stay 7 years ago. The bathroom facilities were as good as anywhere and the the room view better than some. Unfortunately heavy trucks continue to use the Marine Parade route to the Port until around 10pm and commence again around 7am... More

Stayed here for only 1 night. The room was a good size with a good bathroom and shower. We had a small balcony but was good to see the views of the ocean. And lovely to go for a walk along the shoreline early in the morning. Parking was tight, and if you go out at night you may not... More

The Edgewater Motor Lodge is in a great location right on the beachfront. The accommodation is exceptionally clean and tidy and the owners were a delight! Easy walk to the heart of this lovely little Art Deco town. Balcony views of the ocean made it just the right place to stay for an overnight trip

Stayed here for 2 nights. Overall, it is a good stay. The premise is just across the shoreline. One could walk the shoreline and enjoy the nice view of napier costal. This is not one of those ordinary hotels. Rather, it is really like those motor inns you find in the US. However, it is a very nice establishment. The... More
