Lovely studio overlooking the sea. Balcony good size and caught morning sunshine so great for breakfast outside. Owner/manager very helpful and gave us great advice on stopping places on next part of our journey. Napier is a great place to explore & Edgewater is a well positioned & great place to stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in an upstairs room. The room was clean and has been recently redecorated and provided all that we needed in a room. The room has a kitchenette and a small balcony which is a pleasant space to watch the world go by from. Across the street is a large children’s playground. It can be a... More

I spent two days here in January. Booking at short notice meant that we had little choice of room but got a studio unit with queen bed and microwave up on the first floor with a shared outside balcony and a view over the sea. The room was well generally well appointed and fresh, with an especially good bed -... More

We stayed for 3 nights in an upper floor unit. Our unit had a small balcony with table & chairs. The view to the sea is across the Marine Parade road, a playground, car park and children's learner cycling area. An overall good location; its a short walk to the shopping streets and plenty of cafes/restaurants in the nearby area.... More

This motel offers a great location and view of the sea. The rooms are continually renovated and the staff super friendly. The one thing missing is air-conditioning, although this New Year the weather was so cold I was not an issue. The front sliding doors can be latched slightly open to give a good through draft of sea breeze

Gidday Neil. Thanks for your comments. We are looking into air-conditioning but the amount of noise, 20 outdoor units would make is a bit of an issue. You also forgot to mention that each unit has a new portable fan as well. As you are a regular guest we value your comments and look forward to seeing you again next... More

Stayed in room 1, family of 6, 2 real adults and 4 young adults. There is a queen room, more like a cupboard, another room with twin beds and 2 twin beds in the lounge. Not bad space for 6 people, we seemed to cope quite well. Facilities were good in the room, there is a patio area out the... More

Gidday Jenny. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am a little disappointed with regards to your comments on the Queen bedroom. You must have big cupboards in your house if you can fit a Queen bed in them. With regards to the front door and air-conditioning. You can lock the door back so that there... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a 2nd floor studio unit. Bed was comfortable but the unit would have been a little small for 2 people. It was lovely to watch the sun rise from the balcony and having a kitchenette is always a bonus. 10-15 min walk into town, which was another reason I booked the accommodation. I would... More

As its name suggests it is just by the sea. The rooms are well equipped for a family. Good, unlimited wifi. Great shower and soft towels Staff are really helpful and friendly Would strongly recommend if you are in the area. Book early as they were fully booked and popular with the locals.

Gidday Nkschollum. Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are glad that you enjoyed our location and facilities. Yes, parking can be an issue especially when you get people who do not park properly. If you come in and are unable to park, there is plenty of on street, unlimited time, parking around the building. Currently staying at the lodge in room 3. On arrival found the manager to be really helpful and friendly. The motel rooms were very clean and well presented. The motel is situated across the road from the ocean and has a great outlook. Highly reccomend. towel rating 8/10.
