Stayed at this property as it is very convenient. Close to the city, ocean and with good parking. Have stayed here on a number of occasions. In the past the property was very tired, but still quite comfortable and clean. On staying there this time we were very pleasantly surprised to see that most of the first level rooms had... more

We visited several motels along the beach front. This seemed the best value after some hard bargaining. We got a studio room for $130 which was reasonably good. The rooms were modern and airy, and clean. There was a closed swimming pool but free laundry. The reception staff were full of airs and gracies. There was a soulless and dreadful... more

We arrived a little early but went in to see if room ready as this was a stop over on the journey to Wellington. The receptionist was so unhelpful and an extra 46$ had been added to our bill I showed her my papperwork which she dismissed. To get to the room we had to walk through a building site where... more

Stayed at the Quality as part of trip down whole of North Island. This hotel is very shabby and outdated. Initially we were offered a very very basic room which we refused to take. We then upgraded to a more acceptable room but with only a king size bed. This was a problem as there were three of us, but... more

This is a motel style hotel, the room was basic but functional. Our room had a large bed, stoarge, table, 2 easy chairs, microwave, iron/board, bathroom with basin, wc & spa bath with shower over. Our room was rear facing looking over the pool but I imagine that those at the front may suffer traffic noise. more

Very very ordinary motel with expensive price tag. Unhelphul staff. Looks like a 1* hotel in the communist resort for ballbearing factory workers, painted horrible dark brown colour. Well located , one of the nearest to the centre. The main problem is the value for money, it is twice as expensive as it should be, i would find other hotels,... more

A receptionist at this Quality Inn Napier overcharged. According to the reservation paper, all the taxes and fees are included. I showed her the paper but she charged the tax anyway. Besides it, she was so lazy that she reluctanty called to the Headquater to have the correct amount. And she said that the Headquater told her to charge the... more

We stayed here for 4 days and found no real problems. Our upstairs room facing the pool was very adequate and clean. It was a bit noisy the first night, but generally OK. As others have said, there is plenty of parking but it does get used-up. The motel is just over from the beach and near many restaurants and... more

Ok for a stop over. Traditional motel with all the problems associated: noise, not really clean rooms, etc. more
