You will read other reviews with reference to this wonderful homestead, not to mention the comfort of a great night's sleep. Sue and Brian make you feel warm and comfortable to be here as your own home. You also can see Sue's wonderful taste in everywhere. Talking about the healthy and delicious breakfast , I have to say that Sue's kiwi... More

Thank you so much, to Brian and Sue, for your warm and hospitable accommodation during late April. Your retreat is within close proximity of local attractions whilst being away from the hustle and bustle of suburbia. The setting of the property is just beautiful, and breakfast each morning was a real treat, homemade muesli and yoghurt and fruit salad from... More

Sue and Brian are excellent hosts who seemed to have as much time as we wanted to chat and discuss anything under the sun. The accommodation was really comfortable, evening meal was delicious and we have already recommended them to other friends who are thinking of traveling in the area.

Sue and Brian have an amazing ability to make you feel as if you have been friends for a lifetime. Nothing was too much trouble, they made some fantastic recommendations, including pizza from the mobile pizza delivery van one night and dinner at the Mission winery another night (which should not be missed). Their period home, set among wonderful gardens... More

Stayed at Redcliffe Homestead for two nights during our recent trip to NZ. A great place to stay. A quiet and peaceful location, but only a short drive from the centre of Napier. Beautifully restored house set in a wonderful garden. Our room was quiet and very comfortable with its own terrace door onto the garden. Sue and Brian were... More

A beautiful homestead, lovingly and tastefully restored to its 19th century heritage. Sue and Brian were perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for dinner which turned out to be a great choice - lovely food in a welcoming environment and the perfect and relaxing end to a day of traveling in the area. We only stayed... More

Staying at Redcliffe was a highlight of our two week NZ adventure. Hosts Sue and Brian were warm and welcoming and their home is an oasis of sunlight, good food, coziness and peace that is a rare respite during a busy trip. We felt that we had arrived in a sort of paradise- as we drove along the gravel driveway... More

The period house has been lovingly restored to the highest standards and is a delight to experience and appreciate. The bed and bath rooms have been fitted out, furnished and equipped to the highest standards. The setting, surrounded by well tended gardens and the fields of a kiwi fruit farm, is magnificent. The verandas and the gardens are idyllic places... More

We stayed here for 2 perfect nights a quiet retreat after Wellington. Sue and Brian are perfect hosts, welcoming and knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble and Sue made such an effort to make homemade gluten free chocolate brownies and muffins. We had the delight of going to Mission Winery for a meal as it was my husbands birthday which... More

A lovely overnight visit to this beautifully restored homestead. From the lovely music wafting out across the lawn on our arrival, a welcome cup of tea with homemade chocolate cake, spotless room and outlook, comfy bed, beautiful linen and homemade breakfast, we cannot fault this lovely B & B. We also enjoyed hearing about the history of your 'rebuild' of... More
