We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome at the Mission B&B. Robert and Wendy go out of their way to make everybody feel at home, from the local wine and cheese provided on arrival to making sure my cup of tea was brewed just right each morning! The rooms are lovely, and the outside space a real treat.... More

We liked the place so much we extended it by one day. Robert and Wendy could not have been more friendly or helpful and the breakfast is just fantastic. Simon is a great guide to the local wines and we look forward to the next time we can share a glass or two with him. Our children really enjoyed the... More

We really appreciate you taking the time to review your stay with us. Lovely family. What a pleasure seeing the young ones so happy in our gardens, and bringing our home to life! Facilities here are terrific for young & old alike. Your kids were the 1st to play on our new garden swings. Wendy and I thank you for... More

I can only rate this B&B a fanstastic place to stay at while visiting Hawkes Bay and Napier!!! The hosts Robert & Wendy are just lovely and welcoming, the entire B&B with it's 3 bedrooms make you feel, as if you are staying at home from home... and if you are not convinced yet, then you just try their breakfast....yummy!... A big thank you from us for writing a review of your stay at Mission B&B on the Avenue, Napier's premier wine themed B&B. Wonderful to get a visitor from Germany; we enjoyed sharing travel stories with you, especially since we were in Berlin / Frankfurt on our honeymoon last year! And we know you enjoyed our local CYCLE tracks... More

This bed and breakfast was a great start to our trip. Situated just footsteps from the oldest winery in Hawke's Bay (The Mission), Mission B&B on the Avenue boasts a great locale, clean and modern accommodations, and very hospitable hosts. Robert Simon and Wendy are friendly, personable, and extremely informative. Although our 2 night stay was a short one, we... More

Thanks for taking the time to review us. Your visit to our beautiful country was brief but you did see a LOT! And you chose to come to us FIRST. We were gratified to be able to assist in your planning. (Host is a tour guide) Wendy and I use our 'personal' experience (& never accept commissions) upon recommending a... More

Can't say enough about the hospitality of Robert the owner. Great guy to spend some time talking to and the breakfast was amazing! It was the first cooked breakfast we had on our trip as it seems most b&b's in NZ only do the continental thing which is disappointing. Fresh fruit, toast (great breads) and juice are followed by eggs... More

Thanks for your thoughtful review of your recent all too short visit with us. We only wished you had more than a day in Napier. Thanks too, for your understanding that on a last minute booking with our 'main' rooms full; we accommodated in our 'rescue' room. The 'in house' bedrooms are appointed to a much higher 'spec', & we're... More

We thank you so much for the lovely words of encouragement, and all the way from IRELAND! The craic was mighty during your stay with us, and we're looking forward to the next visit. Wendy is enjoying her jewelry design, lots of new pieces being created, and the summer is nearly upon us. Day after day of sunny & warm.... More

Our family were treated to a wonderful stay by Robert and Wendy of Mission b&b. Started off with a lovely wine, cheese and conversation after we arrived. The common area is very spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Beds were great. And best of all were the breakfasts served up by Robert! No need for lunch after that. We also took... More

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. We enjoyed the 'in house' buzz with all the RWC2011 fans especially the CANADIANS! Families like yours make this whole 'hosting' thing so worthwhile for us, and here's hoping you'll return for a longer visit in the near future.( Doubly so for WINE buffs such as yourselves.) As soon as we arrived Mission B&B, we already received super warm welcome from Robert and he showed us around our bedroom, the living room, kitchen and the garden. The whole place is just magnificent and cozy! We met with Robert's wife, Wendy, later on and she is also very friendly. Robert is so knowledgeable and we have great time... More

Mission B & B is located in a great spot, walking distance to the great winery and close to the shopping. And yet, it's quiet and you can really enjoy the morning breakfast and coffee in the backyard. Simon knows all about the area and will take you, or point to the right direction. It's a home away from home... More
