3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Facilities and bedroom dirty. No windows in the double room. Kitchen modern but very small. The owner was hanging around all the time and not really friendly. I put one more star for the good showers and the free wifi.

First of all the ckeck-in was weird. After that, when we saw our room, we thought, that's a joke. The room was just ridiculous. Not cleaned and not vacuumed probably not even the linen were changed. Unfortunately it was raining so the top window and smokedetector were leaking, due to the strengthening of the building against earthquakes. The facilities (showers,... More

First off, there is absolutely nothing to do in Hamilton, kind of a middle of the road point for sleeping as you're traveling through the North Island. When I arrived there was a lot of confusion as far as beds that were available. It was also really bland and felt just kind of weird vibes. If you absolutely must come... More

I stayed here for 3 nights during the cricket world cup. The look is a bit spartan although they have signs up saying it's renovation to earthquake proof the place. It's pretty small but cosy. It is centrally located and it has most anything you want in the kitchen. A tv with lots of DVD's and decent selection of channels.... More

The Eagle backpackers had a good location in Hamilton's CBD and is super close to a supermarket The general bus station was a 15 minute walk away. Just make sure to look closely for the entrance because I walked past 3 times. There is no big entrance area, it is just a door that goes up the stairs. Inside, there... More

Took a private room with a king and single bed for 54$(BBH member) and the hostel was totally worth it considering the money paid. Not the best bathrooms or space but for the price was reasonable, pass by.

i stayed here for a few nights and found it to be a lovely hostel. there was free wifi as well as tea and coffee and it was small and cosy. perfect to get to know some people. the only drawback was that the room i was in had no window so it got stuffy and instead had a skylight... More

we had a good time in this place. It is backpacker hostel, so you can't be really fussy. It was ok clean, rooms are very basic, but kitchen was well equiped, wifi fast and people interesting. It is on the main road which is handy when you go for a night out.

The Hostel was good and clean but the entire stay was rather strange. I booked a twin room which on arrival apparently meant i get not only a bunk bed but also a huge double bed as well and strangely i had a private bathroom. Everything was clean and well kept, thought i felt the bed was iffy but alright.... More

After reading some of the reviews, I was unsure of how this place would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed for 6 nights, booked a private twin room which was very comfortable, clean and had a TV. Kitchen and bathrooms were well maintained and kept clean. The free wifi was a nice bonus too. Location was good, there's... More
