2 of us stayed last month. We found the motel had everything we needed. It was well located, and clean. We booked online. A lovely breakfast was provided. We would defintiely stay here agin. more

BEWARE of this place!!! Stayed here for one night during field days. The hotel was very old and run down, smelly with stains all over the carpet, no complimentry milk, shampoo/conditioner. We were put in a room with less beds than advertised. The worst part of all was when I got home from my trip they had charged my credit... more

The smell was what hit me first. The non smoking room smelt like smoke and when the window was opened the smell of the rubbish trucks in the carpark was unberrible. The breakfast was stale and the shower had no volume control, it just shot full strength across the bath and flooded the room. more

We only booked here due to the 'deal' offered of an upgrade to an executive room and free continental breakfast. However the room we are put in for the first night was most definitely not an executive room and very much past it’s use by date. When we checked with reception in the morning about the upgrade we were told... more

A large room with all you need for an overnight stay but in desperate need of renovation. The bed sheets were grey and not ironed and the furnishings very drab. We ate in the restaurant one evening but although they only had one other table in use the service was very poor and the food pretty horrible. The laundry room... more

I wouldn't stay here again - it is very dated and desperately in need of a refurb. on the upside, the shower was hilarious - very powerful - the water shot straight across the whole length of the bath and ran down the wall opposite, then down the side of the bath onto the floor where it kind of flooded.... more

Check in experience was good as we arrived very late and the manager stayed up for us. The room was quite spacious easily accomodating our party of four. The building is in need of a complete renovation to justify the room rate. The shower had no pressure when hot. The toilet seat was half falling off. Simple things that a... more

We booked 2 x 2 bedrroms to accommodate 2 families of 6. Not only is this one of the oldest motels we have seen, but inside it was even worse. To top things off it was dirty as well, including the linen on the beds. Unfortunately we had paid and only had our coupons otherwise we would have gone somewhere... more

This is a fairly typical NZ motor inn: concrete block construction, shabby decor (big hole in the carpet next to the bed), nylon sheets and coverlet, spongy mattress. The "continental" breakfast was miserly (no advertised muffins) and the coffee was dreadful. The receptionist in the morning made it clear she was busy and had no time to advise us properly... more

Stayed in this property with 3 children as it was one of the few we could find that had a room sleeping up to 6 people plus a kitchenette. Property had a good-sized and well-maintained pool which was enjoyed by the family. Was in easy walking/driving distance of shopping, dining and riverside attractions. Pleasant enough staff, but I agree that... more
