We stayed here for our wedding night. Our work surprised us with a room. We got into our room about midnight and 2 minutes later the neighbours were banging on the wall telling us to be quiet. (And continued to do this) The hosts were fully aware it was our wedding day and we would be coming home late. maybe... More

This accommodation has all the potential in the world... well in Hamilton at least. Beautiful surrounds with a 'lodge' like feel. Unfortunately due to poor service (an especially rude owner who insists on wearing dirty sneakers), lack of maintenance and outdated rooms it doesn't quite hit the mark, Kept awake till 4am with a noisy and drunken party in the... Really interesting and unique hotel with great design features, welcoming and comfortable, great restaurant and cellar. Close to SH 1 and airport, in beautiful grounds . Perfect for a special venue, party, wedding etc.

This is just off state highway 1, and near the airport, the complex has a medieval look to it with a combination of steelwork and wood inside with stairs and walkways. It looks very suited to weddings with it being surrounded with grass and outside tabled terraces to eat on. Because of the busy weekend and lack of accomodation I... More

This is a great place to stay, off the beaten track and in an ideal setting of trees and lawn. The room we had was wonderfull with the most beautiful bathroom complete with large spa bath. The food was really good but the service was a bit slow, it was nice to have a leisurely meal for a change and... More

We booked in for an anticipated great night and had invited our daughter and friend to join us for dinner. The anticipated set menus as advertised on their website but were told "they are not available tonight..........". The food was tasty but we had to pay the full menu priced which doubled our cost. When discussing the matter with the... More

Absolutely wonderful food - great variety and presentation and decent enough cellar, however, our stay there was the oddest experience of our 5 weeks travelling around NZ. We were the only guests and it felt like we were an intrusion- no one helped with luggage and there is no lift. the bedroom we were offered was dark and dismal ,... More

The service was fabulous....really lovely waitresses who were helpful and friendly. We went for lunch and had the fish which was very nice but the lamb curry with chick peas was out of this world. Infact I would go as far as to say, it was the best I have eaten in years. I'd love the recipe. Location is nice,... More

Hotel with great potential in a great location. Eco build using second hand electricity pylons and recycled local wood it has an out if Africa feel. Helpful staff but unbeknown to us the hotel was closing for 7 weeks as we left. The rooms are fine but the ensuites have strange showers and sunken baths . Little sound insulation and... More

The setting for lunch is beautiful and unfortunately it was too windy to be outside to enjoy it. Unfortunately the service and the food does not match the setting. The food is over priced. The gazpacho soup offered as a replacement for the minestrone on the menu (which was ordered) was not noted for being spicy on the menu and... More
