We spent a night at this motel which was great. After we left the owners discovered my partner had left her passport and credit cards in the room before we had even missed them. They then contacted us through our next of kin in England and then sent the documents on to us by courier. Brilliant service with a friendly... More

My partner and I arrived to find our room we had booked hadnt been vacated. We were upgraded to a spa room which was lovely. Per previous reviews, it is basic but has everything you need. Great price, location and everything all clean. The owner was a very friendly man, easy to deal with and just overall very helpful. Had... More

This is a basic motel as the price suggested. The studio room was very spacious, so was the bathroom and shower. As it was an upstairs room, it was light and airy with morning sun streaming in. There was no air-conditioning, just a fan and a small heater. We used the heater a couple of times early in the morning... More

The cheapest hotel we stayed in for our 2 weeks in NZ. It's nothing flash. Good for 1 night before you drive 120km to the airport. The room was large (room 5) so plenty of space. On arrival the manager was friendly and other staff all smiles. It was clean but basic. Must say the wifi was good. ( and... More

The room was stuffy and dank which is probably why there was an industrial air freshener unit running. It wasn't particularly clean. Usually NZ motels have a sparkling kitchen but this was grubby and the washing up gear dubious. We decided we would leave after 20 mins and told the owner why. He still debited our credit card (we had... More

Lake Point Motel offers reasonable accommodation fairly near to the Hamilton city centre. It is nothing particularly flash, but then it doesn't pretend to be. I had a very big room. Strange to say but it was almost too big, with a huge open space somewhat lacking in character. The extensive plain walls all became quite bland and featureless, only... More

Having read reviews giving it 4.5 rating this motel was chosen..what a mistake! Where do I start? Not very clean, bed soft, no wardrobe ..jest a cheap hanging rail.Ants to keep you company in the bathroom and bedroom kitchen ..it says spa bath.. I really wouldn't get in it.the kitchen area had no cupboards just an open shel.. Don't bother... More

We have stayed here a number of times and like to come back. We find the location quiet but close to town. Clean, comfortable bed and friendly hosts, we always enjoy the big bath too. No doubt we will be back again Thanks .

We stayed in the one bedroomed apartment in the older part of the motel. Whilst the accommodation was clean and modern, the room was hot and stuffy and traffic noise was so bad it was impossible to leave the windows open. It was like living under a bridge and we would not have stayed there had I know the unit... More

We stayed here for one night in two rooms accomodating four and five in each room and found the stay to be very pleasant. The lady at reception was very helpful. She gave us a number to call for the free shuttle to skycity which brought us there within five minutes of calling and back as well . The units... More
