We stayed in a one bedroom apartment (324) with an attached studio (325). Our initial impressions of the rooms was good. Clean, tidy and well fitted out. But .......there was a long crack at ceiling height along the length of the lounge room in 324. But....... much of the furniture was chipped or scuffed But......the dishwasher in the one-bed apartment... more

We decided to start with the best and were reccommended the Portside Apartments. Our expectations were more than exceeded and we decided to stay 4 nights instead of 2. The views were as impressive as the beautiful suites. more

staying at portside hotel is almost like staying at a serviced apartement. the rooms are small with kitchenette. there is no restaurant etc... but there are restaurants in walking distance. i wouldn't stay here if i wanted a relaxing getaway but for one or two nights it is functional and the staff are friendly. and there is a dvd player... more

I stay monthly at the Portside Gisborne. The rooms are basically apartment type. You can have a studio (bed in open plan room with kitchen - seperate bathroom) or 1 or 2 bedroom apartments.
